Carbon brake upgrade cooling

Hi,

I'm interested in the carbon brake upgrade kit for the M5. I'm a bit confused about some of the bits in the kit, specifically the new undertray and cooling duct covers.

What is the reason for needing a new undertray? Also, it has NACA ducts which obviously direct air to the brakes on the standard brakes, but then there are extra clip on covers which come in the brake kit which hide the NACA ducts again... Why is this?

Cheers
Andy
