Engine Oil For F10 M5

Hey Guys, Long time no see

I've been drove this car for about 10000km now since april, still in a great condition, the only problem that i have is:when the car is at 800-1000rev on 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear, there is a little noise. The dealer told dont worry too much. My old 2009 750 had the same problem and they never fixed.

I got some new engine oil today, Motel 8100 X-cess, 10L in total cost about 140 cad.

so here is the numbers for the engine oil
Motul 8100 X-cess
BMW LL-01
SAE 5W40
100% synthetic

I have not try the royal purple yet, what do you guys think?

Hi, I got 0W30 here and i am very happy.
It is a good oil for the weather conditions and the type of trips i am doing.
I would recommend you to get a high viscosity if you are driving long distances and track days.
If you do like me (short trips, not enough time for engine to warm-up, cold weather conditions) then take SomethingW30 or even W20.
Note that lower viscosity leads to less consumption as the engine is not turning in butter but in light oil.
I am not a pro so google is still your friend. UNderstand it
best regards

I use X-Clean on my last 550 and I intend to use the same for my unsch. oil change next time.

Motul X-Clean is LL-04

I can pick up the above for $40 tax incl. (4.4L jug) in Markham.
