I see way more exotics than I do M5's. I ride my bike a lot on Danville Boulevard which is a route that links Walnut Creek, Alamo and Danville and wealth is not lacking there. I am almost always treated to a few cool cars on my bike rides. I constantly see (and hear) Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens once or twice, and even an Ariel Atom that I've seen several times. Lots of Cobras (or Cobra replicas) and a few ZR1's. Porsches are everywhere and there are tons of Teslas, they're like flies. M5's are as rare as hen's teeth. I have seen maybe two or three F10's in the last six months since I bought my car. I think that Tesla may have hurt M5 sales around here since they are in our backyard and the pricing is similar. It is a very popular and trendy car in the SF Bay Area.

Without breaching politics, of course the Tesla is popular there... Maybe I did breach...

Hen's teeth - LOL
Well I don't think Tesla is a real competitor to M5... even if in same price range Model S... but most M5 buyers are not looking for attention but as we all know DRIVING EXPERIENCE and being Car Enthusiasts. ... I am yet to see a car enthusiast who got Tesla as his DD....

Yes you may cross shop both but just out of curiosity for the time being as most people want to know what Tesla is all about!!

While M5 buyers are not exactly GREEN,
Tesla buyers are either Very Green and Environment friendly folks or Curious rich folks or someone like Alec Baldwin or Jay Leno who had to have a taste of it in their stable to talk about it when the times comes -

I believe I fall in the curious group of people but obviously not enough to even go test drive the used ones around me -

Without exhaust note... no way!!

Very common at Ralph's supermarket parking lots in Orange County. Sarcasm intended especially if you attend Cars and Coffee in Irvine.

I saw one last Saturday on Bellaire, but it is much less frequent than Pannys, and about equal or slightly less than e63s, etc...that is in H-Town...

Out on the road here in North Carolina, I don't see a ton of them, however out at Cary Cars and Coffee, I usually see at least 2 other F10 M5's other than mine......not exactly exotic status, but then again I usually see 3 458s on average at Cars and Coffee, which begs the question, what exactly is an exotic these days?!

Garbage man is right. I've seen only two since I bought mine. 14 months ago. The others were member meet ups. We do see all other cars. Just two minutes from are a Lamborghini, around the corner grim Gus house is a f430,California and around the other neighborhood across the street is a seriously fast vette that will smoke all those mentioned. But no m5 close by. Oh yea urban lengends car is about 8 minutes away but I never see him around

I probably see one M5 every other day or so. I do see E63's all over the place. They are very popular around here. Especially " All White ". Tesla's are like Honda Accord's in my area. I can't believe how many there are.

Only one or two others around here. I seem to see more F12,M6s than M5s.

Vancouver, BC. There is a greater chance of me seeing an exotic car worth a lot more than my M5, than an M5. In fact since I bought my car early September and I've seen one e60 M5, and two other F10's. My car is Singapore Grey so it really doesn't attract any attention at all, kinda disappointing sometimes, thankful other times. So to summarise, with all of the expensive cars in my area the M5 is still rare, of not special!.

There are only 15-20 M5s in all of Lebanon. There are more 458s than there are M5s here. So its pretty rare. And the good thing is that people don't even know what it is.. Cant get enough of the M5.

It's rare enough to make it special. I see another black f10 at the local tennis centre on the weekend and occasionally see an MCB driving down my road. When commuting, I occasionally see a black f10 commuting in the opposite direction. It give me a buzz to see these other cars in a way that seeing 911s (other than GTs or Turbos) doesn't because there are so many 911s on the road in England.

Live in Upstate NY.

Never seen one here, ever. I think my E90M is the only one in my town/city.

Toronto, though, tons of F10s. Lots of BMWs in general there.

Apologies if I am not allowed here on account of not actually owning a F10.

Quite rare in the Netherlands, I have seen only one on the road.

911s and Pannys are much more common around here.
Then again you can find regular F10s (mostly 520d) on every corner.
