Powdercoating stock wheels need your opinions!

Hey guys dropping my car off to get the KW HAS kit installed. While it's there I'm thinking powdercoating my stock 343m wheels. My car is BSM and is a weekend cruiser.

First off I'm on the fence of powdercoating or leaving the factory wheels alone. Second, if I powder coat in black, should I do gloss or satin? Or do I just do a dark gunmetal look on the wheels??!??

Guys need your help and advice! Was going to buy a nice set of wheels, but 10 year wedding anniversary is coming up and I just booked a nice vacation for the wife and I, so the wheel change is just to get me by for another year or so. Thanks in advance guys! Here's is a quick pic of my baby, which just broke 7k miles today!!

Honestly I wouldn?t do black, very common. I would try gun metal. It all comes down to your taste.

I'd do a bronze or something else that would pop the look against the black paint

Leave it silver. Whatever you do, don’t do black. Your car will look like a giant black blob

Totally agree! Black on black looks terrible, ought to be some contrast. I think the stock wheels look just right.

Thanks for all of the advice guys! I have been thinking about this all day at work, I'm just going to leave the stock ones as is. I will lower the car for now with the kw has kit and call it a day until I find some nice wheels for next season. I agree I wasn't all that keen on the black on black, was just looking for a quick change. Then I was thinking gun metal and at that point no point in spending the money when you will barely notice a difference.

So I'll just leave well enough alone for now and buy some ADV or similar next spring. Thanks!

I hear you. Coming up on our 10 year wedding anniversary too so the mods have to slow way down. Cleaning the OEM's are a pain but I really like the pop contrast with them on my Singapore Gray. How are you liking the KW HAS? It will settle within a week so go back and get it adjusted again? I have mine dialed in to the perfect height and had them write down my measurements for me. Good luck on the wheels.

Hey bud, I'm getting the HAS kit installed in the next week or two. I was waiting to decide on wheel color, but I think I'm gonna hold off. Thanks again for all of your help!

I just bought a comp pack car and the dealer had powder coated the wheels black when it was traded in. Ironically I get lots of compliments on my wheels, but personally I hate black wheels on black cars. With any luck someone will trade me.

If you're in the Southeast (U.S.) w/ 343's... I will consider trading you.

Thanks guys I'm just going to leave well enough alone for now. Next season I'll buy a set of high end wheels and I'm thinking a dark bronze will look good. Thanks again!
