Tks for the input! that's great news! i think i'll order the pads ASAP, if you have specific pad model you order or actual part number pls PM me!

This will help as i wash my car once every few weeks.. simply no place to wash it to clear my front lip and i refuse to raise the car.. this means i have to go to a specific coin wash that has a friendly driveway (its 10 miles from my house) that's why car is not washed regularly, you can just imagine amount of brake dust that piles on!

The reason i asked for part numbers as I couldn't find the exact part # for F10M5

http://www.coolcarbonperformance.com...ionsBPlus.html

For Akebono i take it you went with "Akebono Euro Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad" the only pad (rear) they have for F10 M5 model.

Thanks again!

The Akebonos are as referenced in your post but I don't have the specific part number as they were ordered directly by the shop that installed. I know the Cool Carbons were difficult to find.

There's another post on this site that reviews these pads and mentions where they purchased them.

Tks! I just got an email back from them advising Cool Carbons can be found on ECS tuning has them.. i'll see what part number they have it listed under and compare against Cool Carbon website.

Carbotech do 'dust free' pads that get good reviews - I am just about to order a full set.

I also tested and fully endorse this product. It really works and combined with the low dust/low squeal brake pads from Cool Carbon and EBC, I can say that brake dust is officially a thing of the past for people who own steel brakes. Although carbon ceramic is still the best choice for both street and track driving.
Thats how I found out about the product and have been using it liberally since! Awesome, awesome find! Thanks RPiM5 !

I couldn't find the CC's for the rear and the car was already in the shop. I had Akebono on a previous Audi and they worked well so I pulled the trigger and no regrets or dust. Feel no difference in braking and zero squeal.
