Colour choice on new M5
Well, after getting the 530d & not being happy swapping to an M5. Ordering in the next couple of days once finalised spec....
Final choice re colours is Black Sapphire (same as the car I had for 2 weeks) or Singapore Grey - I haven't seen the later in the flesh & the pics in BMW used car aren't that great. Any comments or better photos re these 2 choices? I am going for SS interior... Thanks, |

If you get the competition wheels, silver is the way to go. Otherwise get an M color. I got black which is nice but blend in with the multitudes of black 550i sports in my area.

Definitely get a color that will show off your M5. I worked with my dealer and got my 2014 M5 in Imola Red which is not normally offered on M5. Was extra $$$ but well worth it.

i got my 2014 in singapore gray, it is always a preference. The color definitely changes as the light varies. I looked at the car at night, during the day, and inside. good luck!

I went with Black Sapphire and very happy with it. I don't like azurite black at all. Citron seemed interesting, though.
I also loved moonstone and amazonite, though I couldn't get an individual color if I wanted the car to be delivered in time for my original ED pick-up date. For silverish colors, I prefer those two to silverstone because I don't like the light blue hue in SSII, personally. |

I love your imola red... really sharp. I would have also enjoyed melbourne red on the M5. I had MB red on my 09 M3 vert and it was stunning!

SG can be both very rich and very boring. I love my Bimmers black....badass.
What about this one? Not my cup of tea but definitely unique:

Black, silver and white are the most popular colors picked by US buyers on all cars and trucks. So if you want to be truly different then stay away from the 3 most picked colors.
