Lease a demo M5?

Anyone done it? Probably driven very hard but I would only lease it for 3 years. Any advice or is this something you just stay clear of?

I haven't done it but would if the price is right - wouldn't buy it, but leasing ought to be fine. I'd imagine it would have to be straight up abused, not just driven hard, for any issues to materialize in the first 3 years and whatever mileage you lease at.

Thanks, yea that's what I'm thinking. Price would have to be a significant difference vs leasing new in my opinion but just testing the waters. Will post if and when I find anything.

I've seen demo car accident, not that bad but still, when customer damages the car while driving if minor damages they dont go thru insurance so carfax will stay clean.

So I found one:

2015
Msrp of 135
Cap cost of 107
Residual is 57%
Mf is .00175

Has about 4500 miles on it.

How much does this car depreciate and can I get this car for sub$100? . Would get me to 1k per month.

What's really annoying is that the front plate is drilled on, but at the right price, I can overlook that.

It will depreciate about 15-18% per year for the first 3 years. The more mileage the higher the depreciation also.
If you can get that car for 95-100k, that would be a great deal.

I agree, 95-100k would put you well under 1k/month. What's up with the marked up MF? Or does BMWFS use a different base MF for demos?

I have no idea on the markup. I'm not sure if it's the rate that Bmw NA puts on 2015s which would then be a double whammy when you take into account the lower residual!

For new 2015s the base MF is the same as 2016, only the residual changes. But maybe it's different for demos/used?

Didn't know that. If that's the case, I'm definitely pushing back on it.
