In the market for a GTC exhaust when I saw One of the Vendors on here advertise the lowest cost on it..

So I text the number twice no response, I then reply to a post and I get someone email me saying so and so was busy or out of the country or some thing. Ok no problem that's fair..

Here's where it gets fun I ASK FOR A PRICE SINCE THEY "CLAIM" to have the lowest cost on the market for the system. Cool.. That's great..
So I ask for a price and then.. It gets really interesting..

SMH... this is why I stay away from vendors that hide pricing behind PMs. So disgusting. Vendors...why do you have to give me a price in a dark alley??

Yeah, I've always thought that practice was ridiculous, but it's like that on all car forums.

^^^this and as they all do it they protect themselves from easy price comparisons so the more lazy pay more. Its no suprise and they are doing nothing wrong other than not making it easy to get the lowest price possible.

^^^ why???? most vendors do this sales tatic and they have been around a long time supporting these forums and our selves direct.

I know I buy with confidence from vendors doing this and have been given good service, great prices and excellent products and support.

Just saying, keep it balanced - they are protecting themselves and still offering great deals.

Some post prices and some don't. Why not post them is my irritation. I've dealt with forum vendors for many years and I still don't agree with the concept. They could abuse pricing as well since it's hidden.

I agree.. If you look at the vendors section, it seems most reputable vendors will post pricing, and offer a discount to members, when they PM.

Not displaying any pricing is annoying and that's typically what starts a price war, and the whole haggling process. It would be simpler if you just offer your pricing and then have your reputation speak for your self...
