Definitely DOES brake for you

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Discovered this yesterday on my way home from work in Atlanta traffic. Was doing about 20 and a SUV jumped in front of me then hit the brakes and my car came to a dead stop before I knew what was happening. Freaked me out a bit but I am glad it did as I may not have been able to stop in time on my on.

Really? You certain of this? I thought it was just collision warning. Looks like you got your new home pretty quickly. Mine is still under construction. The wait is killing me!

Yes, it does brake for you.
Surprised no one has tested it. I tested it just to see when I got my 2014 back in February'ish and it WILL brake for you.

Didn't bother posting in that other thread as there were too many negative nancy's.

That's awesome. Do you know how it judges distance?

Yes very certain. I am not sure of the distance or speed but it is probably if you are under 25-30 mph as other manufacturers. I had the often wondered this and heard conflicting statements but never wanted to test it lol.
Yes they wanted me here faster than I thought so had to move quickly I found a cool condo in a high rise that will do for a while. . I can imagine where are you now?

Stealth any suggestions on a good detailer to use around Atlanta? I want to get a good full detail clay bar paint correction etc. Also on my trip up a rock scratched the wrap on my left grill and need to get it rewrapped. Glad it was wrap instead of painted

For detailing I use Atlanta Car Pros. You can find them on Yelp. They are good and they don't rip you off like most of the ATL guys.

If you want more comprehensive wrap or clear bra guy then there is a guy who is literally the god of clear bra work and he's also fairly priced. His name is Derek at Atlanta Protective Films - and honestly for wrap/PPF there is no one better anywhere - he beats all the Atlanta, Miami, and Palm Beach guys in terms of perfection.

Few off topic local vendors but good for you to know:
-Benchmark Soundworks in Alpharetta. They do all my radar, laser jammer and other custom work (e.g. aluminum pedal install).
-Bimmer Service Center. Owned by a friend of Coldlist. Very good service shop and dinan dealer - best to go there for any aftermarket work - they did my Dinan Sways and Eisenmann exhaust.
- United BMW of Roswell. Best BMW dealer for service. Taylor McDonald is my service guy - also excellent. Really gets customer service.

I still am living in Miami, but when I'm in Atlanta I am usually out in Alpharetta at my parents' home - that's where my M5 is garaged temporarily. My house in Buckhead should be ready to move in August 22nd.

Some nice Condos there - I almost bought a 3 bed in Terminus before I decided to go for a new construction house instead.

The guy I have used before is J-C. See link below. He's excellent but he's overpriced IMO. He can probably redo the wrap too. He did my 2013 M5 with Optiguard.

The other guy who I have spoken with who is more sensibly priced but still quite good (I found him at the Bentley dealership and asked him to do some minor work removing water marks on my 2012 550i).

We don't have Adaptive Cruise Control on the M5. The M buttons on the steering wheel take the place of where the ACC buttons normally are.

No more

Stealth - Taylor left a few months back. Needed a job change. Getting married soon too I believe.

He recommended I use Eric Rossman at United.

And I complete agree on Derek - man is the bomb!

Cheers!
