M6gc comp vs 991.1 turbo s

Hey guys,

Just wanted to get everyone's take on this...

How does a 2016 m6gc with comp package rank against a 991.1 turbo s. Obviously not from a stop. But something like 40-150, 50-150,60-150, 60-130.

What is the ideal gear and speed to start if racing one from a roll?

Would a bms stage 1 take it? How would a stock one stack up?

Thanks!!

You would lose in all those scenarios - maybe after 130 you may gain a bit but he will already be ahead.

From a stop... don't even bother.

Agreed - he will pull away quickly and by the time you hit 130 you'll be too far back.

You have to remember that there is a significant weight difference between the two cars

With the mods I had I was at 690whp and I went against a Stage 2 tuned FBO 911 TTS and I was stayed at his right at his gas tank each time. BMS Stage 1 won't get you close to the power you need. Flash tune will

Even the stock car has a big advantage of RWD power and torque compare to AWD with less power but 911 is a lot lighter than M5/M6. 700 lb lighter is no joke.
believe me or not even with a lot weaker car like M4 CP I am driving now, I feel not more slower than my M6.

Power to weight is so important along with gearing, drag, etc. I too felt my M4 was just as fast as my M5 and more nimble at times; especially in those short romps from 60 to ... lets say 90 (real world stuff). The M4 has that "feel" of easiness to drive and alot has to do with the weight.

991.1 will crush the M6 in any real world scenario. And the 991 Turbo is easier to tune than the M6 too.

Damn that's sad lol

I was expecting it to be close, maybe 2 car lengths stock vs stock.

Btw I've driven m3/m4 plenty of times even considered getting one. I don't think speed wise they're comparable once both have equal traction. After 80mph m5/m6 is way faster.

In the real world its going to matter on a few things stock vs stock: jump, conditions, grip, tire set up.... The GC has the advantage in effective hp with less parasitic loss due to rwd while the power to weight goes to the 991. I have seen some tests where the 60 to 130 between the 991.1 MK1 Turbo and the M5/M6 (not GC) are close. The .1 Turbo S is not an amazing roll racer up top in stock set up (owned 2 and have 1 now) so you would have a "reel in" race and then maybe get it past 140 mph but at those speeds its crazy anyway
