I'm sure it's a really nice car but I just don't like the slope backed design, don't like the RS7 for the same reason.

Plus unless you plan to track, otherwise even the current F10 M5 is faster in a straight line than the new Pam Turbo.

So you like the previous design better? The previous one looks like a dog taking a crap.

Previous one is even worse. I never liked Pam's exterior design.

I need a full side view as these pics (while helpful) dont give perspective of the changes. I know I can just google the car but I like it when we get live pics like this.

Looks like a great turn out! I was stuck in the office to make the launch. Wish Icould of see it in the flesh.

I'm not a fan of the sedan profile either, but just went to the Porsche page and saw the Turbo Sport Turismo. It probably weighs a lot more, but I like the look of it, more utilitarian yet probably quite fast. Reminds me of the Ferrari wagon that Vic55 had a while back.

I agree with you, I think the Pam wagon looks not bad. Same for RS6, I like it much better than the RS7.

I guess I don't like the in between style.

These cars are already in dealerships. I was at Porsche Atlanta today getting new tires installed and they had 3 of them - 1 in showroom, 1 parked outside, and 1 in the service bay doing a pre sale inspection.

I have a social event at Porsche Experience Center tomorrow so will see if I can snap a side profile while I am there.

I saw the new Panny at the LA Autoshow last year. It's leaps and bounds better than the old one, but you already knew that. I'd rock it, but not for $200 Grand. Lol!

Next year I have to make the choice for a DD, and I will look at the new M5 and Panamera GTS. I'm bias to the Panamera's interior and comfort .......I rarely buy the same car twice. I've been a M guy for years so I have to consider. Speed is not an issue for me anymore I've kinda removed myself from the quest for more speed.

I guess I can say the RS has put me in my place, and anything faster will cause risk or cause me to spending time in jail(:

Thanks for pics. I like the look of the new Panny especially over the old one.

Initially I was blown away by the Sport Turisimo but it looks like you can't get roof rails. Really would like to have the rails as the wagon version only gives you 3 additional cubic feet of space?

This will be on the list in a year or so when I am looking to replace the X5M. Doesn't look like the new X5M will be available so I might move back to a sedan as long as I can get AWD, which I need in the winter as this is my DD.

From this view it doesnt really bring home the bacon for me:

I had the old version turbo. Wanted to like it, but it rattled a bit too much for me (2nd owner so previous owner prolly kick its ass) and while the front view is awesome the side and back end, well we know. This version helps but it's not there yet. Why do they have that chrome around the windows???? Ugh.

Oh, it went like hell (lightning fast) but other cars like our M5s can smoke as well!

Maybe the right color will help....

I know what you mean. The side profile is still a lot like the old one.

What they have done is they have created a strong lip to the trunk and underneath that they have several horizontal lines including those of the tail lights which make the back seem stronger and less bulbous than the old one. The new design works more because of the lines than the shape.

It looks a lot better in lighter or brighter colors - especially Blue, Red, silver, white.

In these dark colors the styling is less visible and the silhouette dominates.

Vic, I saw the car in person last night and I actually love it. Looks great in a lighter color in the pic it's called Chalk with the blk 21's it works. This was a 4S, and the Turbo was next to this one in BLK, and it didn't do it for me. But this one oh my ........just have to make up my mind now. Also got a GT3 allocation manual, but not over my RS. Could go do a buy and sell to make some cash? But rather not let someone get the car that wants it ....the front end on that car does not do it for me. Will only sell the RS for an RS ......

Thanks Henry the Turbo does look better, as it should, and the 21 inch wheels definitely help that big torso.

Stealth I see your point on the lighter colors as well. But right now I don't need a sedan at all so I'm looking at a semi daily with a normally aspirated engine and maybe AWD. I already have a 991 in the garage (not getting a gt3 again) so there are a few wildcards out there.... hummmmm
