People say gas guzzling cars kill trees - but I had no idea it was quite that direct.

I guess we now know what Mother Nature thinks of BMW's "Efficient Dynamics" tagline.

I smell insurance fraud.

Everyone knows that the fastest way to total a car is to push a midtown tree onto it.

Shouldn't have tried to save money by parking a car like that on the street.

Staying up to search the for sale section for " m5 like-new condition, fully loaded with premium package, cold weather , convenience, and...comes with real wood aerodynamic wind deflector."

That's a pretty stupid comment. Have you been to DC - or any city's downtown? You can't exactly find a garage attached to every building.

The bad part is that the insurance company will probably not total it and fix the car. Who wants one that has sustained this kind of damage? The good news is that at least it's a car that's still in production, so the owner can get a new one if it is totaled.

It was 23rd street NW, just south of Washington Circle. I felt for the car, but getting out of the West End Wednesday evening after work was a %^*(&%$# nightmare. Go figure as a Washington commuter I was more pissed about the traffic inconvenience. Also note, noone was hurt.

Wonder if it belonged to a GW undergrad? Talk about a group of kids with amazing rides. Take a look at some listed in the cars on campus blog re: GW.
