He only asked for price. Now I'm curious if it'll fit onto an X5M.

Now I'm just trying to determine if the noise I'm hearing is actually the intake noise. I don't recall hearing it after the intake installation but noticed it after the chargepipe installation the following day.

Pretty sure it's the intake as it's an odd kind of whooshing/sucking sound (kinda hard to describe). Tried to see if cjrdriven was available today at lunch to go for a ride and give a second opinion.

Oups, we still need to go for a ride, just to see!

If you took 20 min to install it, why not take 10 min to try it out...you're more patient than I. Maybe you'll like this one better than the MSR.

Why would get this if you had the better MSR intake?

Now that you had enough time to test it, what do you think about the intake?

Installed the BMW intake and Stage 1 tune box Friday afternoon. Had to clear a code for the MAF because some idiot forgot to hook one of them back up (I won't name names but we will just say he and I are very close) before starting it so I trapped an error and a CEL. Cleared the CEL Saturday morning after picking up a diagnostic scanner and proceeded to let it adapt.

I get a raspy sound from the intake about middle the power band on the way up and then on a hard down shift or if I let off at high RPM I can here a nice subtle woosh.

Installation was easy and I'm happy with it.

I am trying it out - am not going to comment on which intake is better or worse or anything like that.

All I can say is intakes in general do very little on this platform with stock boxes + K&N filters.

I am all for getting proven wrong but it has to be dyno or 1/4 mile!
