Cup2!!!

Just put this on! 20 celsius outside, grip is unbelievable!!! I use spacers "macht schnell"
1 cm , front and back. And decided to put 305.30.19 at the back and 265.35.19 at the front. And it fit perfectly.

Definitely grip would be great, a bit concerned that they are too soft and will quickly wear out during daily driving.

Fully agree. They're double the price of the PSS.. I just fitted 305s but fit the PZeros. No PSS available, very happy with the grip.

They are R compound tires, they grip very well. But you give away the treadwear and the cost comparing to the PSS.
I am looking around for tires myself as well. Hesitant to which brand and type I go with. I do not really track my car but usually race every now and then on an open road.

PSC 2 are great for those of you who would like to track their cars and doesnt care as much on the treadwear.

Why are PSS are in back orderrrr!! arghhh

If they are too soft then they should be very comfy on bad roads. Are they?

The rubber compound is very soft on the Cup2, not the sidewall. They probably ride okay, but that is not their purpose. These are basically street legal track tires. Do not expect to get more than about 6k miles from them. And I would be cautious in the wet.

My new M5 came with Pirelli P Zeros due to the back order of the PSS (I assume). The ride is nice and they stick like glue. Excellent turn in response, but I am afraid they will only last about 10~12k miles. The PSS have a better wear rating without sacrificing much in performance. I would have much preferred the Michelins.

@OP: so after a few weeks, what are your thoughts? Is this still a substantial upgrade over the original PSS? Have you been able to drive hard on these?
