Wider tires 305 25 20 on stock 343 rears?

Any experience ?
Is it doable?
Any risks?
Is it worth it?
Speedo error?

Or should be
305 30 20?

305/30/20 works perfectly fine. im running nitto nt05's in that size right now. i have a whole lot better traction but thats due to the tire change too, not just the width increase.

Im about ready for new rear tires and was thinking of going to 305s as well. If I make the switch, would I need to take the 10mm spacers out?

Nothing needed -- no rubbing at all even during power slides and very aggressive cornering.
I believe the NT05's I'm running are even a bit thicker than the Michelin PSS too, and I'm running them at 38psi cold (which is more than stock PSI).

Sorry, I read your question wrong, I thought you asked if you would need to add 10mm spacer.

I don't think you would need to remove it, but I am not totally sure - looks like it will be fine though.
Either way, if you do have to remove it, it doesn't sound like a bad thing since you are getting the natural width extension from the tire without the spacer being required.

Can you run 305 rears with either 265 or 275 fronts? Is either preferred since my fronts probably will jot need replacing at the same time.

I would not "Mix axles" tyre wise, but it's up to you, check for "insurance issues" should an accident occur.

What do you mean by mix axles? I don't think he meant he wants to run 265 on left and 275 on right. He said either or.

I mean one type of front tyre and another type on the rear axle.
Is he buying all 4 tyres or just two?.

Or should be
305 30 20?
The total diameter for 295/30/20 is 26.968"
The total diameter for 305/25/20 is 26.003"
so you will expect about 3.5% speedo error means when your speedo shows 100 mph, your actual speed is 96.5 mph if there is no other built-in speedo error which there is (your speedo always shows a bit more than actual speed)

The total diameter for 305/30/20 is 27.204"
In this case your speedo has less than 1% error and shows 1% less than actual speed,
If I were you, I would go with 305/30/20 and I don't see any issue since I have seen M5 with 433M wheel which is 1/2" wider than M5 343M

I meant when my rears go - Id get 305 in the rear with my oem fronts, but Id get PSS all around. Didnt know if 265f and 305r would cause any difference.

Exactly which is why you want to increase size of both front and rear. I would do 305 rears and 275 fronts, and use same wall as OEM tires. PSS is available in that configuration.

Unfortunately, minimum recommended wheel width for 305's is 10.5.
