Maybe it's just me, but I find it really odd that you guys will spend over $100k on a car and then buy knockoff/replica parts off ebay to put on the car. Even if it looked good, I couldn't do it because I would still know that it was fake.

get off the high horse buddy. it's just a car, it's gonna be worth 40k soon.

people like you are the reason vendors charge ridiculous amounts of money for parts and get away with it. if it looks good, and fits good, i see no issue.

and thanks for the pics!! looks good!! there's 2 spoilers i believe, they look similar, but that one is nice, think i'm going to get it.

You're paying for the name. There are some high end products in the market that aren't cheap but still cheaper than let's say DINAN or M Performance. Why should I pay for BMC filters when I can get K&N for half the price and same results.

It's no different than when you go the store and opt to get the Walmart brand vs name brand. Sure you can go the dollar store and get the same thing much cheaper but suffer in quality.

Don't fall for those tactics. End of day, it's your money, if you want to pay thousands more Vs the same product that's sold for less and built to the same quality, that's all you. Hell, half the time they come out of the same damn factory in Asia. LMAO.

Couldn't agree more. I bought the $80 grill off ebay for my m6. It is the exact same design, material, fit, finish, etc as the $300+ BMW "performance grill" (whatever that means) that I bought years ago for my M3. If anything the ebay one actually looks a little better on the gloss black finish.

There is absolutely no questions about it; when buying parts for your M BMW you don't always get what you paid for. Many times you can buy the exact same product for 25% of what other well known brands charge, and on the other hand in my many years on BMW forums I have seen many threads started by people who have paid thousands for the well known brands parts only to be disappointed by finish, fit, or after sale support!

Bottom line we all spend our money how we like. I find it crazy to spend $1500 on a damn spoiler that I'm gonna slap on my trunk or $9000 for a heap of pipes I'm gonna wedge up under the car never to be seen again. Others may find it crazy that I have spent $5k on detailing supplies this summer that will take me years to use. Do what makes you happy, but no need to look down on others purchases especially when you do not have first hand experience. No way any of the vendors that charge outrageous prices will get my money (wish more on the forum would think this way), but I definitely have respect for the members who choose to spend the money on those parts if it makes them happy.

I just received 2 sets of the M5 grilles from the eBay member mentioned on the first page. I'm blown away at how fast I received my order (5 business days from China!). 5 stars on service and product quality.
