Dave - I'm happy for you, and even happier that you've decided to go the long haul with your M5. Your wrap is great, your disk brakes look great too and as for the new wheels they look awesome. Glad you got a tune and crossed over to the dark side so aggressively! Wow pure turbos and a SSP clutch! Happy you are happy!
Quick one - when your tips were powder coated black did you find the RPI decals on the tips from Eloy easy to get on and how did you line them up straight on the tips? Still haven't put mine on!

Well I had done the tips black myself and I simply got a bunch of RPi decals that we're really designed for the RPi Air Scoops and I simply eye balled putting them on the tips. Lol! In fact RPi got the blacked out tip design from me.

Powder coated my exhaust in September. No regrets.

Either way, I love the Cool Carbon Pads, they truly made a world of difference for street driving. It's almost like owning Carbon Ceramic Brakes, as far as brake dust goes, but without the really bad cold pad warm up time and high cost.
What would you recommend me to do ? Go with front and rear ebc pads or front cool carbon and rear ebc ? Any downsides mixing and matching ?

The EBC Pads and the Cool Carbons probably have different heat tolerances but I can't remember what the EBC's are, however for street use it really doesn't matter, you will be fine with either. I didn't really find a good place to order the EBC Pads from later on that's why I got the Cool Carbon's first and ECS Tuning makes it convenient to order from them. No downsides to mixing and matching, at least none that I can tell.

Jesus, am I reading an internet post or a novel?

Kidding aside, it was very informative, thanks for taking the time and I enjoyed reading it.

Your car looks great and the upgrades are awesome. Great write up too. Clutch upgrade is in my near future as well but I may install the Dodson. I just have to find the right company to tackle the job.

Not yet. Will be heading to the dyno next week hopefully. I'm not looking to go all next level like allmotor_2000. Lol! I'm just looking for reliable power levels. After all of my research I believe the stock internals can handle at least 1,000hp but I do not think other components on the car handle that much and will need to be upgraded. I think fueling will be a road block looking for more power too. I'll be happy with the car making around 900hp if it's reliable. If not then no biggie, we'll dial it back. Don't worry I will be updating with dyno graphs in the future.

Agree, but I think the stock internals will have issues if the torque numbers get too high.. Over 850 lb ft and in the long run.. Personally can't wait for internals to be strengthened so I have more confidence to push more.

Guys, I also just wanted to share with you my Blackstone Oil Analysis Report from a couple months ago. This report also influenced my decision to proceed with the upgrades in performance. This oil analysis was conducted at about 69,000 miles on the engine. I think this goes to show just how strong and reliable these engines are. Oil changes every 6,000 miles of course.

Read the comments.

Great stuff as usual, Dave; you don't happen to have a Vbox? I'd love to see how the upgraded turbos/tune/etc affect real world performance improvements.

60-130, 1/4 mile, etc.
