So my lease is up in November and have been trying to decide what to do. Long read sorry but was talking it through to myself lol
Over the years I have had a very wide variety of cars (over 30) and my M5 (2014 CP 46500 miles) is the longest I have kept anything (36 months) and i am still struggling to find something i like better and is still practical for me as a daily driver and still do all the things I need. 2 seater or 2 door car is out since we have a 5 &7 year old and another on the way. The wife doesn't care at all about cars she currently has a 2015 Camry thats paid for which we are about to trade in on her choice of an SUV (buick enclave) but i want something we can all fit in when needed or I want to take mine but i still enjoy driving daily while trying not to increase our current budget any more than I have to I have been all over the board as far as whats next, yukon denali, RRSSC, GMC 1500 Denali, Escalade, AMG c63S, RS7 CTSV, M3 X5M or buy my M5 at lease end and wait for the next generation. All things considered as far as performance, luxury looks, cost and my enjoyment it looks like I am going to stay with BMW since nothing else has really peaked my interest and I said "gotta have it" Also I can get a better deal with my current lease and or trade with the pull ahead program. So I was in for service today and had an appointment with the sales guy to discuss my options and here is where i am with out negotiation of any kind I could keep my M5 (car is immaculate no dents dings scratches etc other than a few rock chips) and finance at lease end but with 61k residual then CPO for the warranty id be financing $65k then $2500 out of pocket which puts the payment at $1268 for 60mo $1555 for 48mo or $2035 for 36mo (current lease payment with taxes is $1750 which sux I know but i traded in a 550 i had just leased and didn't care at the time because i wanted the M5 so bad) i will need to replace tires soon if i keep it but if I trade for another BMW they will overlook it however if i just turn it in id get dinged I'm sure. they will also waive the mileage overage if trade. M3CP 2017 (my build loaded except CCB would be here mid october) MSRP $83845-$4192 discount then add in all the other BS for a total Net price of $82510 with $2500 down 36 month lease 15k miles 57% residual $1268 per month all in taxes etc. I had never driven or sat in one until today and drove a loaded 16 (non CP). I was actually very impressed. The sound didn't bother me and it was very quick and nimble (felt as quick as my M5 to 80-100). I think I would enjoy daily driving it. I like the smaller size and the back seat seemed to have just as much room as my M5. I would definitely miss some of the luxury of my M5 however but overall was impressed but still didn't have that OMG i gotta have this this now feeling i did with my M5 and also a little worried its too flashy and not understated like the m5 for my age 41 2017 X5M (my build pretty much loaded but B&O) would be here end of september) MSRP $109395-discount$5474 discount then add in all the other BS for a total Net price of $10686 with $2500 down 36 month lease 15k miles 54% residual $1749 per month all in taxes etc. I have never driven or sat an x5M nor an X5 until today. I drove the closest thing they had xDrive 50i Msport which wasnt close at all lol but gave ma a general idea of space size driving position etc. I can't find an X5M anywhere near me to drive but pretty much the same as my M5 as far as luxury power etc and i believe it would like it other than the size and from all of the reviews i read on this board of members who have done the same move and say its a beast. Just don't know if it makes sense to two SUV's as I am sure 95% of the time we will be in my wifes when were all together since etc seats etc will all be in there already. 2016 M5 thought of this after this since the residuals are like 67% and the lease would be about the same as the M3 i would get basically the same build but add full leather and maybe B&O with different colors so it would seem like a different car :thump: but this would probably be silly Recap 2017 M3 $2500 down $1268mo 36 mo lease 2017 X5M $2500 down $1749mo 36 mo lease 2016 M5 $2500 down $1350mo 36 mo lease 2014 M5 $2500 down $1555mo 48 mo finance plus $2500 for tires good detail job etc to refresh it In typing this it seems like the logical choice is the M3 since i could lease it and and finance my wifes enclave for roughly what my M5 lease payment is now and still have something fun for me and different enough for me with enough room for the family and await the next generation M5 with fingers crossed Thoughts from anyone would be appreciated just don't want to pull the trigger and regret it! I am in the boat as you bud. My 2014 SO lease will over in Nov. i wanted something luxurious and fast. I bought a 2015 F150 in jan and loved it. Went to the dealer for a trade to get in 2016 f150 limited and ordered it so it can arrive before dec. I see you had 1500 denali as an options. I must tell to give F150 a shot. Its a V6 ecoboost and makes around 365hp with 420lb tourqe.

If it were me, with the high residuals, I would jump right back into a 2016 M5. Definitely shop around, I've seen some guys get under 1000 as high as 1200.
Blue with Sakhir Orange interior.

I would shop around for another 16 M5 fully loaded. At 67% residual that payment sounds off. Seriously I would get shopping. This is the machine.

FYI...youre dealing is screwing you on those quotes. as i repeat customer you should call them out on it. |

I can't believe the shenanigans OP's dealer is putting him through with that quote.. insane!

My build has an MSRP over 120k and with 2k due at signing (First month/acquisition fee/doc fee) my payment is lower than that after taxes. Now is the time to reach out and pick up that sweet LSB M5. |
