@Nate
Really feeling the lip. My only doubt is ground clearance with speed bumps. In your second pic you can see the plastic oem part that normally hits the ground, it is the lowest part in the pic, but since your lip extends further out I am afraid this will become the point of touch against the bump. Maybe you can test this with pictures?

M,

You will definitely need to be cautious about bumps and driveways. I cannot pull directly into my driveway now with the lip (I have H&R springs). Have to pull in at an angle. YMMV, but I have scraped both sides on the bottom (cannot see it) roughly under where the parking sensors are located on the bumper. Not trying to dissuade you, it is soo worth the extra hassle of speedbumps, driveways, etc., 'cause it looks so damn good.

Thanks for the info. I have the same springs. I have to take 6 of these bumps every day and it won't be worth the trouble for me. But it does look so good.

Can anyone measure the height from the lip to the bottom with or without H&R springs? I am used with low clearance in the front (335i w/ mtech suspension and CF splitters). Measured it this morning, about 7.4in. Wondering if RKP is even lower than that?

My stock height car with the stock 19" rim/tire is 5 1/16" from the bottom of the RKP to the floor. I've scraped it a few times already but it seems durable and must be somewhat flexible as there are only scratches on the bottom of the lip, but no stress cracks anywhere so far. I'm concerned with a direct head on hit with a curb though, as there wouldn't be as much flex involved with that.

Great combo, looks like the way the factory intended this to be done.

No non-carbon lips in the works but we can paint one here in house gloss or matte black for you.

Hi Nate,
the RKP lip did come in earlier in the week and I managed to install it just prior to me leaving for a 3 week business trip . So all I could do is to install it on the M5 and then drop it off at the audio place for the sound system upgrade
On first impression the quality is second to none and it fit perfectly .
Install took less than 5 minutes.
I'll have picture in early May !
Thx again !!

Nate -

Can you answer this question?

1. BMW's OEM CF splitters for the E9X M3's.. are they 1x1 or 2x2?

2. BMW's rear spoiler for the F10 M5.. is it 1x1 or 2x2?

I have a frozen black M5 coming late April.. and I'm trying to remember if this frozen black M3 I drove at BMW's France track event (with all the OEM CF parts) had 1x1 or 2x2 weave.

Also.. you add an additional clear coat after an order from RKP arrives? Just curious and also am trying to decide between matte/gloss clear coat.. for FB M5.

wow going from a Frozen black E60 to an F10? Congrats

1. The E9x M3 BMW performance carbon was a 2x2 weave but the OEM carbon roof was a 1x1.

2. The BMW performance rear spoiler and interior trim is a 2x2 carbon

We can add a Frozen clear coat to the RKP lip or paint it body color if needed.
