Well put about 60 miles on the new Beast, although not the best term for this new one. Couple of initial observations.
Definitely MORE luxurious than my full leather int on the '13. The contrasting sitching and alcantara bits bump up the plush factor for sure.
Seats feel more comfortable too.
Love the feel of the steering wheel. Actual steering even feels better (placebo?). Alcantara and smaller diameter grip are nice. See how it holds up.
Cabin sound. The exhaust is MUCH better than the stock exhaust. I can see the motivation for Mperf exhaust or they've just turned up the volume for the piped in sound......much more tame than my E Race but I'm ok with that with this car.
Power, OMG yes I feel a diff. Butt dyno even under 5k is telling me there is more than before and more to come.
I'm very happy so far but a bit worried about dealing with frozen paint
Oh and 2014/15enhancements on the interface are nice too, but not special to this car

Nice. It's great that you're enjoying your new ride

Comments though:

The 30th anniversary edition model comes with the ZCP/7MA Competition Package which includes upgrades/enhancements to the power steering.

Does your 30th Anniv M5 come with the Competition Package Exhaust or is it upgraded to the BMW Akrapovic M Performance Exhaust system?

That's all......and enjoy your ride

There are pics on the Board. They all look the same.... Mine was the car at the Pebble Beach show and there are many of my car out there too. And, I'm a poor photographer.....

Yes on the steering, thx.

Need to confirm exhaust. Could be the comp pack exhaust. Does not have the akra-type tips. It does sound MUCH better than stock M5. What they all should sound like from the factory IMO.

Awesome, I wish I had known about this car before I had bought my '14 CP M5. I am not in love with the color, but 600hp and a 199mph limit would be awesome.

Waiting for some stock 1/4 mile times now

I've been waiting for this Barry. Awesome. Can you do a test and confirm the 199mph top speed limiter?

Next trip to San Diego or "somewhere in Mexico" I will try........Do we really think/know whether the US version is "delimited" or limited to 199?

No one seems to know for sure and it's not officially published anywhere for the U.S. Spec cars. Like I said, I would love to own a 30 Year just for the 199mph speed limiter, if it is true.

I think the best (safest) place to check this out without any risk of ticket/accident is dyno!

Nice Barry. Can't wait to see it, and see if that 199MPH limiter is out there! Yes, Mexico or air strip!

Awesome Barry. Definitely time for another "Mexico" run is needed. Here are some pictures from our run last year with the #M5Army.

Yup that was a fun one. Especially watching those center caps pop off from the heat right there where we took pics.
