What to look out for when buying ?

Hi all,

I currently own a f10 535d and thinking of changing to a used F10 M5 around 3-4 year old. Could you please tell me if there is anything i should be looking out for ? or if if there are any common faults with these cars ? I have had a test drive in one and it is just in a completely different league to my 535d. I loved every minute of the test drive !

So if anyone can please help me out and share some advise please that would be great.

Thank you.

Not sure how you'd determine this, but it seems like some M5/M6's burn through oil faster than others. My neighbor has a 2014 M6 (early build) and it burns through oil like crazy. He stops into the dealer every 1000 miles to top it off. I have a 2014 M5 and I have yet to add any oil.

I'd look for a 2014 though. Never liked the idea of owning a first year model run. But I guess 2012 was first year in UK.
