B&O retrofit question

i have a 2013 m5 with the b&o option i am looking at buying a complete interior from a wrecked M5 that does not have b&o but is the color i want.

Is everything plug and play from my current setup to the new one or is it more involved ?

also is there speakers inside the seats ?

Not completely PNP. No speakers in seats.

Okay so there are 16 speakers in total including the tweeters. Let’s first look at the ones that do not get affected by changing the interior Color.

2- centre of the dashboard
2- under the front seats
4- rear shelf speakers
2- front door tweeters (black triangles at the edge of the door

That leaves us with the remaining 6 speakers

2 in the front door trim- when u change the door trim just unscrew them from the existing trim and screw onto the new trim

4 in the rear door- same process as the front doors.

I have changed the speakers on my F10 myself and the door speakers are really easy to remove. So I would say ur good to go.

OP look up the bavsound stage 1 F10 upgrade video on YouTube. This will show you how to remove the door panels and I believe you will need to follow a similar process to transfer your speakers to the new door panels. I believe you will also need to transfer the wiring harness to the new door panel which the video will also help you with. The bavsound video isn't great on removal of the cup behind the door handle. If you do the switch and want more help, I'm happy to pass along what I ran into.

The speaker grill is attached to the door panel and I didn't pay attention to how they were attached because I didn't need to move mine. So, not sure if you can easily transfer the b&o door speaker grill to the new door panel.

If you need to remove the front seats to replace the covers, look up the bavsound ghost/stage 2 upgrade video. Although not on an F10, the process is the same to remove the seats. There is an F10 subwoofer upgrade thread that provides the part number for the seat bolts which should be replaced if you remove the seats. The caps on the end of the seat rails are more complicated to remove than the video shows. They didn't just slide off on my m5. You have to depress a couple of plastic points located in some indentations or they won't come off and they can be hard to find.

Here is the thread:
