Dinan M5 newbie; and Thank You!
Hello Everyone, I found your forum and signed up several weeks ago. I've spent countless hours reading through 100's of your posts. I've been lurking for weeks and I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone out there. You've given me insight and ideas for my M5.
I thought I'd finally say hello and post a few pics. I'm sure I'll have questions down the road. And I look forward to your insights. I am also looking forward to logging in every night. List of mods: Dinan stage 2 Dinan CAI Dinan Adjustable coil over Fabspeed Muffler delete RKP front lip Ind front and rear reflectors Ind Sidemarkers OEM wheels powder coated gloss black (opti-coated) BMW performance stainless steel pedal covers BMW Carbon Fiber rear spoiler Gloss Black vinyl door handles 3m Clear paint protectant (hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors) I love the f10 M5 as all of you do too! |

Thank you!
And yes, that is something I've noticed too. However, I measured exactly and I have a 1" drop in both the front and rear from the factory height. Interesting that I measured 6 1/4" from the ground to the RKP front lip factory height and now I am at 5". I'm thinking of ordering spacers. When they arrive I'll get in there and adjust the springs all at the same time as I'm sure I'll have to anyway. As for the vinyl: I had my local "tint shop" wrap them. Cost was $60 plus tax (cheaper than ordering handles and changing them out). |

Thank you! Love this vehicle. I bought it back in February and made the Dinan changes a few weeks ago. Loving every minute of it.
And yes! I love the gloss. Some people like the matte on the wheels and others like the gloss. When the brake dust builds up they look matte. Win win. |

Oh how I'd love to install the Dinan suspension package. How does the car handle? Looks amazing

I only have the adjustable coil overs.
I believe they also sell sway bars and negative camber control arms (which I do not have). There is a noticeable difference with the stiffer spring rate and lower ride height. Handling is better and with the increase in output it definitely helps. |

beautiful ride and i really like those dinan intakes.
i'm curious how come you didn't do the dinan exhaust? also, how often are you cleaning those wheels? i'm thinking about doing my HRE's gloss black, but the amount of brake dust makes me want to keep them charcoal gray lol |

Thank you. The intakes do look really cool. I didn't like the Dinan exhaust only in that it wasn't loud enough for my taste. Since this is not a daily driver, the muffler delete works and I love it. Even if it was a daily driver I would've still done it. As for the wheels: I am a little obsessive about it, I clean them with a quick detailer and a microfiber cloth every time I drive. The brake dust is insane on the M5. When they are dirty it looks matte black. I love the look of the black wheels on the M5. |

Is that the Turner exhaust?
Also, in order to achieve the same wheel gap at all 4 corners it is necessary to drop the front more than the rear. That is why your rear looks lower. For example. H&R are 1.0" drop front and 0.6" drop rear which looks even all the way around. Since you have HAS kit you can just dial the rear up a bit or the front down depending on your taste/needs. Looks great OP! That is one clean car! And I thought my car was clean. LOL

Thank you! That's exactly the information I was looking for. Looks like I'll be tearing into things a little tomorrow. And yes, I keep it quite clean. At all times. I think my neighbors think I'm obsessive. |

I also recently picked up a set of IND carbon fiber front LCI grills. It looks great. I'll post some picks as soon as I can. |
