F10 M5 Sounds Off Against E92 M3 (Exhaust Sound Comparison)

I can distinguish between the two as I've had the M3.

Both sound weak.

AMGs sound great, but they just aren't the same as the mighty M. They don't do it for me and tbh I would tire of driving at 10mph constantly listening to that :-)

Personally, I dont like the AMG sound. I love their cars in every other way and I have contemplated picking up an SL 63.

However, the sound isn't all that great in my opinion. if anything, it sounds too much like a Harley Davidson.

How is this even a comparison the e9x m3 is considered one of the best sounding v8s ever made and with 12:1 as opposed to the m5s 10:1 the m3 sounds much better

wow I thought E92 M3 sounded good. Now it sounds like a little whining kid on the street compared to the F10 M5.. Love the deep rumble it has. Really "talks" who the Boss is.

But the M only deserves sound like this one. So far, nothing from MB/BMW/Audi came even close to the sound of V10 M5/M6.

People, i have both cars and they both sound good. Totally different route at producing aural pleasure and both going for different character. No sense blasting either really.

Those who can't within 2 seconds distinguish which car is which in that video should have your keys taken from you. Any enthusiast can immediately hear the difference. M3 sounds way better BTW (even though I'm more apt to buy a 5 now that I'm 40 yrs old and have 3 kids).

Seriously. Both rev at same time at some points but they also rev separately too. M5 exhaust sounds better for sure but no engine BMW makes right now sounds better than the m3 s65 engine.
