It was more of a "tongue and cheek" comment.

But its not a new car, it was punched 11/2014 which means it has about a year and half of warranty left on it. For most buyers this wont be enough so that will entail a whole new cost (VSA). But to your one point, there is a unique buyer(s) out there who want this car and it will sell once that buyer finds it

At 40 miles, it's a new car. For a few thousand BMW will give you an extended warranty to 7 years/100k miles.

Came pretty close to buying this car from Cosmo for 120, the deal didn't go through dealing to issues with them wanting the payment combined with shipping the car across the country.

Funny now that Ultimo wants 140 for it even though cosmo couldn't even sell it for 120 before auction.

Happy that I didn't move on it, because now I got a killer deal on my AW M5

Doesn't the warranty clock start when it is officially sold and "put in service"? I don't think the warranty clock has actually started on the car.

Really for a few thousand on an M? Id love to see the VSA schematics on that. I agree that the miles are down but the car is titled and knowing M buyers as I do for so many years- some will balk and then some will not. But only a fool will buy that car for 139k or even 129k. All my wholesalers at the highline level would hit that car below the Manheim number and its gonna sit and suck up flooring or cash if they keep asking for that number.

It has, its been titled and not as a demo. When the first report of sale is issued the clock starts. Carfax shows it starting in Nov of 2014.

Let's not talk about the price going up. We need them to come down. This post is shattering my dream of one anywhere near 100k

Prices are down in Europe..UK has these for between $80-$90K USD. But those are not properly configured i.e. right-hand side driver.

https://www.newsnow.co.uk/classified...-for-sale.html

With these beginning to be properly valued in non-US markets, the 2018s hitting show rooms, and warranty time quickly coming to a close...smarter pricing should follow.

Update

Been chasing a few of these for a potential purchase since mid last year. They are finally realizing the value here is not something like a 2015 CompPack + 4 times the MSRP on the Jahre Option. Price reductions have been large. Ultimo just reduced to under $100K on their website. And the one at Capital BMW, Tallahassee, FL., is looking for bids. The Brits have been aggressively slashing their Jahre prices too.

But with the 2018 M5s hitting US showroom floors in a month or two, and the new CompPacks coming on their heels, plus maybe a CS...still might be too high.

Personally, I'm still looking to get in-line to get one of the new CompPacks next year. Wish they would have been a little (ok alot) more reasonable on their price expectations a few months ago. When I presented my research and price justifications (my bid is still lower) got nothing but laughs and deer in lights looks back.

well, joke's on them. They're still sitting on their inventory. Their cost of capital (having money tied up in inventory isn't free) is probably around $200-$300 a month, let alone depreciation.
