Congrats and welcome back!

Great looking car, I am wondering what paint care advise they give at the Welt?

I got nothing on my Frozen Black E92 M3 from the dealer or BMW NA!

The M4 is going to look so good in frozen colors!

Anyway, safe travel home!

Looks awesome! Congrats.

I'm curious about your comment regarding the exhaust sound, given you didn't order the ZCP (assuming it's therefore the same stock exhaust from your other M5).

Second of all, HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! Your M5 DOES look like it's been carved from steel! Those LED Headlights with the Frozen Paint almost make me want to run down to the closest dealership right now!!!

So are you keeping your other Monte Carlo Blue M5 then too?!

Also I'd like to hear your reasoning for not getting the Competition Package. I just would like to know if I ever consider getting an LCI M5 or M6 that I'm making the right decision on not getting it. Thanks!

Why didn't you go for the comp. pack?

Thanks Dave. Actually I'm selling the MCB M5.

There was a long thread I published with my review of the Competition Package. I drive both normal 14 and ZCP 14 back to back in Miami. That thread drew some ire from CP buyers, and Coldlist got very offensive questioning whether I actually drove it

Anyway the bottom line was there were things I liked, and things I didn't like, and also some things that were worthless to me. Weighing the tradeoff between likes and dislikes I decided it wasn't for me.

Also the fact that I don't track my own car is an important factor too.

What I liked:
1) Reducing steering ratio which is mostly delivered at end of the rack not in middle - so it doesn't feel jittery of center, but it does enable you to turn wheel less in tight corners like roundabouts.
2) Reduced body roll.
3) Bragging rights.

What I didn't like:
1) Material reduction in ride quality. Some may not notice this but on streets of Miami and Miami Beach it is noticeable.
2) A bit too stiff in sport and sport+. Lost traction over a key expansion joint I use every day when in Sport+ mode. Basically it moved everything up one notch. I think this is great for track but not for my street driving routine where surface imperfections are more prevalent.
3) Lack of physical differentiation (given I don't want cast wheels or CP exhaust)

What has no value to me.
1) Additional power. Not enough to make a difference to me personally.
2) Lower suspension height - don't care about aesthetics of ride height.
3) Exhaust - Thought Eisenmann sport is better and I happen to already own one so I would throw away the CP exhaust. It has no value to me.
4) Cast wheels - would opt for the 343M forged wheels instead.

It's probably the roads. In the. US we have more concrete roads and our Tarmac is in worse condition. So there is more tire noise which drowns out exhaust noise. In Europe you can hear the stock exhaust better.

The delivery specialist said he didn't know. I also went to Niederlassung and they didn't know either.

However I got some great advice from @avlnch on this. He's on his second frozen M5 so is an expert.

Congrats on the car man beautiful and secret no more
Curious about your exhaust sound comment. It's not a CP or M Performance exhaust, so how can it be THAT different? My Eisenmann Race-Sport sounds much better than a stock car, louder and more pleasant to ears. Is that the case with your exhaust?

Yes I love my Eisenmann Sport system. like I said I find that the need for an aftermarket system is less strong on German roads.

@bradone1 and @M54ccibo

You are going to love the M4 Vert. I saw both the coupe and the cabrio (with disguise) up close at M Studio last Thursday.

What the photos fail to capture is how widely flared the front and rear fenders are. It's almost Porsche like.

And yes - that's a next gen X5M parked next to it.

Stealth, great pics.

Did you bring a radar dectector with you for ED? What are your thoughts on this topic? I didn't bring mine for last year's ED figuring a ticket wasn't going to effect my US license, and it wasn't worth po'ing the local constabulary....

Oh you don't really upset me. This is a freaking online forum for goodness sake. I probably meant it very sarcastically...I can be that way when I hear something that really doesn't add up with what everyone else says or when there is someone that I repeatedly butt heads with. Its entertaining :-) I think it was actually for the reason that you claimed that it had LESS traction (now I think I remember) which was the exact opposite intent of what BMW did with the MDM. I find it highly doubtful that it makes it through a chain of engineers and tests only to find that it is "worse". Not really in the BMW tradition to make things not what they say they are-especially for M. It would be hard to have "less" traction than the current car anyway. Wife and I took the M6 out for a long cruise around the lake today for an afternoon outing and that thing spins everywhere. It is what it is. A powerful, fun car that doesn't grip when it launches but sure takes off when it does. Tons of fun. Sometimes I think we let subjective opinions cause arguments and it isn't worth losing sleep over.

In any case. Who cares?

That is a nice car you have there. Really all that matters in the end. Frozen Grey is also my favorite of the frozen colors. We have different styling tastes (as I know you prob won't mod it) but that car would look crazy with some bronze tinted HREs.

Congrats on the car. Nicely spec'd.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Stealth! Don't mind ColdList, he's just jelly. Lol!

Damn! Now you got me thinking about the M4 again! I hate you! Lol!

Oh and awesome looking Cocaine interior or did u get the Oreo interior? I always get those two mixed up. Either way, it looks like a beast. Also I hear they reinstated Pkilla at the loading dock. Just thought u should know. :
