TPMS Problem 21'' Wheels

Hi guys, i picked up a 2011 M5 and it has aftermarket 21'' wheels on it. When i purchased the car an RDC failure error came up and I was told that the seller had just put some air in the tyres and it needed to me re-initialised. I took their word for it and purchased the car.

However, now taking it to my local indi they have said none of the wheels have TPMS in them. The problem is the valve sits inside the barrel of the wheel which totally flat with no lip and not outside where you would normally find them.

Can anyone suggest what I can do? Im afraid to buy stock TPMS sensors incase they dont fit

I had similar wheels and my TPMS would install on the inside of the wheel barrel and my valve stem was on the outside of the barrel. Hard to explain. Most wheels have a spot for the TMPS.

the wheel is very similar to the pic but has no lip on the barrel (totally flat) and that is where the TPMS is located

Can you tell if there are two valve stem locations / holes?

It's hard to tell from the picture but as 13M5F10 stated most wheels can accommodate the stock TPMS. I would see what your shop comes back with and proceed from there.

We'll wait to see the picture of your exact wheel.

Called the dealer, they are unable to supply the correct TPMS as they said there are 3 different colours and without knowing what came off the car they will not be able to supply. I would have bought all 3 colours to see which works however, the parts are non-refundable

Can you take the wheel and have parts department look at wheel and indicate correct TPMS for wheels? How about the wheel manufacturer?

Hi guys, just an update regarding my situation. I took it to my local tyre garage, fitted new tpms sensors and all is good!
