The car will alway default to comfort/ efficient when u first start the car, so there may not be a need to set up a button for her (my wife prefers that setup best).

I then have M1 set up has a happy medium the way I like to drive most of the time (S2, spor throttle, sport suspension, and comfort steering...although I occasionally select sport steering). My M2 is more attack mode (S3, sport plus throttle and suspension, with sport steering). Too me sport plus steering is a little too heavy for around town /parking lot driving, but great for long highway cruises. It's one of the great things about this car, u can tailor it to your mood du jour!

comfort luxury is the default mode. You don't need to waste an M mode on that.

I have 2 M modes: Highway and Twisty Country Roads.

Highway: Dampers: Sport Plus, Throttle Sport Plus, Steering Sport, Drivelogic: D2
Country: Dampers Sport, Throttle Sport, Steering Comfort, Drivelogic: D3

Mine is setup very similar as yours. I have my M1 and M2 setup with sport steering.

I always keep my throttle sport plus because I love the responsiveness.

On the highway I have
Throttle: sport plus
Dampers: comfort (I feel this setting allows more power to the ground... I may be wrong though)
Steering:sport plus (I love the heavy feeling)

City I put everything in comfort except sport plus throttle. The sport plus throttle makes me feel more in control.

Ive never driven in D since the first week I got the F10. In winter I leave it in the default Efficient, Comfort, Comfort, but just drop it into S2. M1 is Sport + throttle, Sport + suspension, Sport Steering with no M view, so I can use Navi, S3. M2 is all of the above, with M view, for when I know where Im going.

On a side note, it may seem weird to drive in grandma mode all through winter, but Im on winters, crappy roads, cold temps - and I have no desire to really push it. I dropped it into M1 the other day and it felt like a totally different car. Ive seem the pdf where it states the exhaust valves do not open until 3k rpm, but I swear its instantly louder in sport+ throttle under all conditions.

And NO MDM for me yet, I dont really want to mess with that until I go to M school - I dont want to pretend like I can handle it. Perhaps in an empty parking lot one day.

Three modes to DSC - Fully ON, MDM - partial DSC, fully OFF. I would suggest doing some research on MDM before trying it, apparently it lets you do a LOT. Also read 2013 and 2014 MDM may be quite different, but I hav no proof of that.

MDM allows for predictable slip angles. But you need to take action or you will die.

Also allows WOT blasts on highway without DSC stepping in.

Also, from the 2 m5's I've driven between the 2013 and my 2014 wi the comp pack the 2014 gives MUCHO more slippage in MDM mode compared to 2013 but I suppose that just the comp pack difference.

In the morning, I just drive with default mode until car gets wrm up. After that...m1: throttle sport plus, sport, sport for local and freeway.
M2: throttle sport plus, sport, sport with mdm for canyon road...and ocational crazy driving mood.

Yes. Push once, MDM. Push and hold, all nannies off...careful here.

MDM allows for 17% wheel spin, I believe.
