Delivery mile vs. sitting on the showroom
So I have a bit of a dilemma. I'm looking at two identical 2016 vehicles with same price tag, but one has around 60 miles on it (likely from test drive) and the other one has only 11 miles on it but has been sitting on the showroom for good 4 months (battery has been drained)...I just curious which is more detrimental to the new motor, sitting for a long period of time or having multiple test drives. I don't necessarily have to choose one of the two but the dealer's trying to get me into one with big discount. Thanks.

Neither cars situation is bad for the engine or any other component. Just choose the one you like more. Take both for a test drive. See which one speaks to you more. God speed.

I bought mine w 60 miles on it. I've raped it several times up to almost 80k miles. It still calls me for more torture. 🖖🏿

A battery is battery (easily recharged or replaced) and 60 miles is nothing even if they ripped it a few times.
Drive both cars and make a decision on which one feels better, as others have said above.

From engine perspective don't make a difference. I would be concern about the flat spot on the tires if it didn't move for 4 months. Our X5 had this issue as it sat in the lot of 6 months and it wasn't moved. Just make sure you test drive it and let them make a note on any wheel related vibration.

I think it's a personal preference, my preference was to get one with port miles and no test drives, less about the car being ripped, more so about I want to be the one to rip it instead of someone else lol. Awaiting my car tuesday! I wouldn't worry about the motor I would worry as M5Beast_NYC said, flat spots

Check the inside of the one that was in the showroom, if it was unlocked...lots of people getting in and out and could have potentially scratched the plastics and creased a bit the leather...that's my ocd speaking, chances are its all good. And yeah, check the tire aspect as well.
