New member - saying Hello with a few questions
Hi guys - I'm so glad to have stumbled upon this site. Seeing the first pics of all the delivered M5s in Europe has made my choice of next car very easy. I currently have the C63 AMG, and although a nice car, I still miss my e46 SMGII M3 everyday.
In between the M3 and C63 I found myself lost from the performance sedan world in a supercharged Range Rover Sport, never again. I'm planning on a 2014 Alpine White F10 with Sakhir Orange interior - I dont plan on doing extended as I prefer the seatbacks and dash in black for more of a two tone look. I'd opt for the standard wheels as I would be getting a concave mesh style after market wheel. Questions - 1.) Is NAV standard in the US? I noticed it is in the UK and I read over the post regarding US options, but I didn't notice any mention of NAV 2.) Regarding the E60 M5 - did it share the same hood as the regular 5er and does the F10? My only reason for holding out past 2014 is if BMW were to decide to put a new hood on the F10 with a bulge like they did with the X6M. It would kill me to wait and have them do that as I feel the hood bump on the M3 gives it a super aggressive look. (My reasoning is that if the F10 does in fact share a hood, it would be less likely of them adding a new hood during an LCI). 3.) Id like to do Euro Delivery - has anyone confirmed it will be 7% off MSRP for the M5 as well? thx |

I think every one is waiting for April 23rd to get the exact numbers on ED and the such. But speculation is 7%. The m5 sports a wide body kit and as such does not share a hood with the standard 5 series. i wouldn't wait for the bulge in the hood on m5 because it was only set into the m3 hood for clearance issues. I don't believe the m5 has those issues. I'm sure some one in the after market industry might share your tastes and provide a solution. GL, but not worth the wait i think.

It also shares the same basic body as the rest of the F10, but with different front fenders.

I'm not positive on the F10 hoods, but the E9x hoods are different between non-M and M cars. But i haven't had a chance to line them up, I'm figuring with the wide body kit and different fenders, you're going to have some gaps, but going solely off the E90 experience again.
