The amount of attention depends on where your live and drive. There are very few F10 M5's in my town. I know they exist but have never seen another one on the street. Our MCB gets a medium amount of attention from folks who know what the car is and from those that want to race. It is a bold color, but to the average person it is just another vehicle in a sea of colors.

Black Sapphire here. Super invisible. A young guy once said nice car at the gas station when I didn't have my plates.
I would say get a brighter color so people won't back into you when they parallel park. |

White expensive cars are in fact rare where I live. Now that I have my azurite black M5 I get very little attention, and that's the way I like it: the ultimate sleeper.

MCB all the way!
car nuts who recognise an M5 will give it attention irrespective of the colour; for the rest it could be just another 5er/BMW in a nice colour

Wow, really surprised how incognito this car generally is even with louder colours. Would love it; if they offered the f10 in interlagos blue.
Id probably go for that in a heartbeat! MCB it is |

Also drive a BS m5. Lol what the hell do the plates have to do with it? No matter what color you get, the F10 M5 is the ultimate sleeper. It always looks like an ordinary BMW to ordinary people. Ofcourse, until they hear it or i drift thru a city corner during rush hour in the financial district. Ppl who know cars look regardless of color. We all own a pretty rare car in the streets. |

I drive a Singapore Grey and I too am invisible. My brother in-law has a black Camaro SS and he can't go anywhere without turning heads or people coming up to him asking about the car. I've had but a couple of people look at my wheel/brakes (stock) at traffic lights but that's about it. In fact my dealership said they have sold 50 M5's this year, but you wouldn't know it as I haven't seen another F10 M5 in this area so I guess they are invisible to me as well.
Our car doesn't grab attention until we pass someone doing 200+ kph, and even then we are luckily forgotten quickly.

I don't think most average people recognize the F10 M5 vs. the standard 5 series models. Unless of course you have a loud aftermarket exhaust!

Same was the case here when I had the M5 even with it being heavily modded. The M6 always gets attention. Enthusiasts freak out over both.

M6 is sexy though, and there are times I do question myself for having two rear doors when I have no one to use them 99% of the time. But yeah my M5 is invisible to 99.9% of drivers out on the road. The general public thinks it's a 528i until I roar past them with the sound of a jet bomber. |

Frozen Black- I get so many stares it makes me self conscious. I'm used to my frozen color so it's no big deal to me but I get to a red light and it's like my car's on fire or something.

I think you guys are right to use the color as part of the attention equation; beyond that the M5 is not an attention grabber except for other (usually) dudes that know what it is.
As has been discussed before, the M5 attracts more dudes than your average Porsche or Ferrari (of course) would attract females. The M5 is a dude magnet.
