MSR Intakes

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I certainly do not need to explain these intakes to this forum! Asking $2,000, buyer pays shipping and PP fees

Set of very lightly used MSR intakes. Powder coated filter tops in satin black to match the OEM gloss black grills. These were installed and used for less than 2K miles and I had to transfer the lease and new owner did not want them. There is one small (rock?) chip on the drivers side filter shown in picture but not noticeable when installed. Buyer pays shipping and any PP fees. PM with any questions. Best sound/performance mod you can make IMO for the f10 m5...paired with bench tune of course

Thanks

They are nice, but 2000$ for pipes is outrageous . Downpipes are cheaper and make more power. I am sure you paid a lot for them

While I appreciate the input I do not agree. You can't find intakes that make 50hp for less and they retail for much more. Also with Downpipes you need a tune to code out the cel so out the window goes the cheaper theory.

Price is obo for anyone actually interested in purchasing these. Thanks

Don't buy them then. You don't buy these for power gains, you buy them for the sound and cool points. I have a set and they're my favorite mod to date, and I have a lot of mods, expensive ones.

Please show me a dyno that shows 50whp from intakes alone and I'll buy these now. Already installing pure stage 2... as might as well right?

The gains from these are shown in VBOX numbers, not the dyno. But IMHO the MSR intakes were worth the price for the sound alone. Constantly hearing "WHOO-CHAAA" when letting off the throttle is intoxicating.

George has dyno sheets and vbox. The issue is no one wants to believe Intakes make any power especially on the platform.

I'll tell you this, when I put them on, my car was more responsive in throttle and in 4K+ rpm it pulled much harder than before. When I took them off to go back to stock, my car felt sluggish. Too many people with these intakes have said the same thing.

Also, the sound is intoxicating.

Thank you again for more unsolicited personal opinions. If you don't like the price or the idea of the intakes don't buy them and please leave this thread to a for sale and not debate there are plenty of sections for that on here.

Appreciate those that chimed in against the negative input.
