I love my SO M5 it's a ballsy color, and I get thumbs up every time I drive it! M5 with a non typical color represents M in my opinion. With 560 HP's you will wear it well, plus it looks hot. (:

Figured I'll provide an update on the car as it just sold (I considered it for a brief moment, but ultimately did not want to 'compromise' as it was not the spec I truly desired). In my one call with the dealer, from the get go it was pretty apparent they wanted the car gone, and it had been in their inventory for far too long (well over 3 months: Mar through July), and they found it hard to move (by their own admission, having offered it initially in the high $90s with no takers).
Frankly it doesn't surprise me, while I personally like the color, it is a ballsy one, which most people would admire, but not be bold enough to actually own. In addition, and for me at least, the all-black interior is somewhat of a downer - the F10 cabin is way too cavernous IMO and needs to be broken up either with a two tone interior (e.g. a full Interlagos or SO would have looked dynamite on this car), or with Individual deviated stitching (imagine a SO thread around!) I'd venture a guess car sold in mid $80s, as it was offered to me without ANY negotiation for $89K with CPO included (which is nearly $4K on the F10 M5). That's a lot of car for the money, so I am sure the new owner (from MA) is content. To me, this experience was somewhat of an eye opener that the market for a first MY/pre-LCI manual car (in a 'non-standard' color) is very soft. I reckon with the LCI M5s on the ship already headed to our shores, the market for those cars will only soften further. That very same dealer actually has another pre-owned F10 M5, except in DCT and in Singapore Grey, that one is still priced in 6-digit territory ($102K, similar mileage as the SO), supporting my theory. Having been a first MY/pre-LCI M5 owner (2000 E39 M5), I can tell you the secondary market is not kind to the such first yr runs. Especially with the forthcoming ZCP package, I'd venture an educated guess that ZCP LCI cars (especially in the most popular colors) will hold value a lot better than others. But I guess time will tell. In the meantime, my M5 vs M6 GC decision still remians...

I get compliments every day I drive my M5. I had the wheels powder coated gloss black and the windows of the spokes lightly dusted in the SO. But you can still see some black beneath the SO. I've also done other gloss black elements (side vents and M5 logo). The net effect with the tinted windows is pure badass. The akrapovic exhaust doesn't hurt either as the carbon fiber tips play well with the other black elements.
