Beware Of Cup Holders!

Watch out for the cup holders when driving in first gear. They SUCK!!! My drinks seem to keep flying right up at me while punching it about 70% in first . So you can imagine me trying to catch my drink and shift and drive with one hand. Luckily it was closed, but this also happened a couple weeks back where my drink was open. Mountain dew Went all over my Sahkir orange interior, luckily I cleaned it off very fast. So consider yourself warned! LOL.

That's why you need to get one of these:

http://www.ultimatecupholders.com/

They don't offer a specific F10 model, but I'm using the one I bought for my E39 and it works just fine. It may be worth calling then to see if one of the other models is a better fit than the E39 model.

Oh yeah! I had the same thing in my E39. Nice milk stink in the car from my latte after that. :-/

...or you could have a 550i 6MT that doesn't have any cup holders. I've got one in the arm rest which is useless and doesn't hold anything, and one that only takes a custom clip in cup and is 1/2" deep. It's just as well because it helps me keep others from drinking (and spilling) in my car.

Yeah I have one of those in my M3.. they're ridiculously good. It's nice to drop a drink in there and then drive as quickly as you'd like with no concern.

Yes I know what your talking about.. but pure luck I caught the drink and it didn't end up all over the place.

I realized right away that it was my fault and not the cup holder. With some drinks you "think" they are in but they are really sitting on top of the mechanism or something like that. Mine was a large Jamba haha

So push the drink in really well.

Hah it was a close one though.

I usually only brings drinks that have a screw on lid or cap, and put it in the passenger net. For some reason it bothers me to have a drink in the cup holders. Very difficult for anything to go wrong.
