Exercising the drivetrain

When I have the opportunity I do. Two traffic tickets so far even though I have the BEL -Sti R and Laser jammer. Those don't protect you from doing stupid things in traffic or a sneaky cop that tails you for a couple of miles and catches doing some "illegal exhibition of acceleration". The look my wife gives me though is priceless.

Here in the UK, you need to "Pick your road and time" as driving this car hard is a "licence looser".

..."illegal exhibition of acceleration..."

Now that is some funny $h1t! I think I do that at least two times a day and I thought these VA/MD police were way worse than the ones in TX (my home state). TX police are usually more civilized than these cops up here...

In California, we have "Exhibition of Speed" which they can charge you for. According to the Vehicle Code, it doesn't specify a speed at which this can be charged, you could literally be doing 5mph and still be charged with "Exhibition of Speed" if the cop thinks you were doing something like that. Luckily for California residents though, the legal process here is extremely slow and your chances of getting out of a ticket are good as long as you know what you are doing with the legal system.

Other than that, yes I push my car hard almost every time I drive it. Most of the time I am pretty chill though. I always tell people that I may be a crazy driver but I am not a bad driver. I always use my signals, including for every single lane change on the highway, always come to a complete stop at stop signs, and always always slow way down whenever I see bicyclists on the road up ahead of me or in a school zone. I always have said, that there is a time and a place to have fun on public roads, this usually involves no other cars around me, or no other large groups of innocent bicyclists or pedestrians around me.

Also thanks for your sentiments on Maryland police. I am afraid of moving to Washington DC one day, which I know will happen for me at some point in my life. I once saw this video of a motorcyclist who had a Maryland Police draw his gun on him just because he was speeding. Not good.

Besides everyone knows I do most of my hard driving in Mexico, where nothing is illegal. HAHA!

From day 1: up and down the rpm ranges with the most aggressive driving modes sans steering.

Never a day (when I drove it) that I didnt at least hit 140mph plus... Me gusta Mexico viva las federales vamanos yo quiero una cerveza

Live in Virginia, use Waze. Lots of roads out west where you can open up without too much worry of cops. Never got a ticket there in my 2 years I was stationed at the 5-sided pain cave.

Good to know. I use Waze a lot now too! Fantastic App. I don't know if I'll make it to the Pentagram anytime soon or before I get out, but I am planning on going into the State Department after the military, so it's an inevitability.

I can hit 130mph on my daily commutes. I drive a lot and I get aggravated when there is a slow poke in the left lane and I'm just trying to cruise. Out of frustration, I'm forced to cut to the right lane and hit the throttle and I'm gone. Drivers in Florida are awful but the M5 helps me cope.

I've already received a ticket for this in VA...they're not messing around in the DC Metro!

"5-sided pain cave" is hilarious. I'm stationed at the pentagon now while I wait for my rotation back to the Stan. Thanks for the advice about Waze, I'll download it now.

I live my life one quarter mile at a time....JK

I don't abuse it, I drive it. Anyone who would own a car such as this and doesn't romp on it occasionally should have it taken from them and given to someone who will.

Never...I drive like an old lady, and put my seat as far back and low as possible for full cruising gangsta lean effect. Remember this is an M car, which stands for Marketing.

If you're not driving the M5 hard, you're doing it wrong
