Pure metal silver costs $10,825 extra

Just received the following email from BMW and a phone call .

"Pricing will be $10,825. It does cost double of the other paints because they do use silver in the pigment. Any order you place will take an additional 4 weeks for this paint finish"

Really wanted that silver but not for that kinda of money ... ;(

It's the most overrated paint ever. I would take a frozen paint over this any day, or alternatively a legendary color like Laguna Seca Blue.

BTW I think this is good value compared with the $5,500 they quoted me for deviated stitching.

I agree with you but I am running away from matte colors now.
My C63 matte is giving me a major headache :

I guess I will go with titanium silver or white again

Titanium Silver would be a special order from Individual. I would choose Arctic Silver over Titanium if I was doing that.

You may want to consider Champagne Quartz or Silverstone. Champagne Quartz looks fantastic on the M5.

Here's a full thread of champagne quartz. It's a very hard color to capture on camera.

Huh, what!? From a maintenance standpoint or you seriously didn't like the car?

The E60 M5 was an epic car IMO.

I have always had M3's and M5's all my life but the E60 was a major disappointment!

Came from a E39 which I loved and jumped to the E60.

Car had ridiculous low torque under 6k, ridiculous small tank of gas, bad SmG gearbox box and on on. That's why I'm a little scared on buying another M5 but I know the game have changed completely and I hope to be happy again ! The only thing I liked was the sound of the engine of the e60

I've not seen or heard of those two colors as Individual options. Curious, is there a database of all of the colors available for Individual paint? I agree re: Champagne Quartz; I can't decipher that color to save my life. I must be going a bit colorblind but it looks like a brownish grey to my eyes. That's a color I'd have to see in front of me before ordering and that's probably not happening.

I had to repaint the bumper bc of a minor scratch and Mercedes painted the bumper more than 8 times without being able to color match ... After that they got me a new bumper and tried 3 more times . They said to me they can't match the bumper with the rest of the car. I opened a complain case with them and guess what the suggestion was ? Paint the fender , hood and etc ... This is absurd.
I was without the car for 2 months and from now on they will deal with my attorney .

That's a horrible color match. I had the same issue as you except mine was matte black. Mercedes ended up sending my bumper out to space somewhere to have it painted and it came back perfect. I was without my car for a total of 3 months... No compensation.

With BMW you can order a pre-painted bumper from the factory. It takes about 6 weeks.

I wish I knew that earlier, I bought the M5 in Alpine White because of my matte issues and I dropped it off for a matte wrap today. I know it doesn't look the same as frozen, but I figured if I get tired of it or if something happens I could just take it off.

Yeah things have developed quite a lot recently.

You can buy factory painted frozen bumpers. You can also get clearbras like Suntek Matte which have an identical clearcoat to the frozen paint so you can protect your frozen car without it looking odd.
