I didn't think 20+ was possible. I average between 17-18 when driving more leisurely and 16ish when driving more agressively. Maybe the stage II tune has something to do with it. Or maybe I just have a heavy right foot.

Daily driven from 13,000 miles. Oil changes religiously every 5-7k miles. Here's the long list of issues I've had so far.

Turbo coolant lines - 3x
Batteries replaced - 1x
Power Loss under WOT - loose DME's
Brake Pads - 2x
Rotors - 1x

That's all knock on wood. The car has been extremely reliable especially considering the performance modifications. I've never used launch control and will never floor the pedal from a dig. I believe that has helped preserve some engine parts as well.

Let's see who gets to 200k first.
Love it, you guys are putting serious miles on! Who's your tuner again? And what oil brand and weight do you use? Thanks
Another shout out to Mike Benvo at BPM. He set me up with a stage 2 tune when I was roughly at 60k miles and it's been wonderful. I told him it was going to be my daily driver but I still wanted to have fun.

I'm running stock gapped plugs changing them every 20-25k miles. Oil is Liquid Moly 5W/40 Molygen (green blood). I submit a Blackstone oil report at every other oil change.

highway we can do pretty good despite no cylinder deactivation. Cruise control in particular. Anytime things are not stable, well...... cliff!

I hate to be that guy but I very very regularly serviced my 2016 M5 only to have a rod bearing failure on the hwy while downshifting from 5th to 4th. I was well aware of these issues and felt I was way on the safe side of things getting regular oil changes, waiting for car to warmup before giving it revs, etc.

I really wish we could get to the bottom of what actually CAUSES the problem itself.

I am absolutely doing rod bearings on the new engine before it goes in. May also consider doing the drive shaft mount as well just for good measure. Trying to fortify this car as much as possible at this point so I can keep it for a long time.

I'm just gonna roll the dice on mine. I've had it 1 year and only done about 2,500 miles so the odds of it happening to me are way lower than most given how little I drive it, but time will tell. I'll probably only keep it a year or so longer

M6 here (same S63TU engine nonetheless). I've put on 14K miles over the past year and am currently at 73K w/ an avg of 21.4 MPG. I do mostly highway miles though. On roadtrips I pull around 28MPG. Don't garage queen it either and drive it during NY winters.

0 issues. Aside from 4000-5000 mile OCI's, I've replaced the plugs, coils, PCV valves and injectors as preventative maintenance.

Hoping to join the 100K and 150K club. Knock on wood!

Surprised neither of you have had to replace the thrust arm bushings yet. No pulsing under braking? Mine are due for replacement at my current mileage of 92k. I have Dinan monoballs to install.

Beginning of this month I picked up a 2015 M5 w/ 29k miles on it and I just had to replace the head unit since I lost all interior audio cost me $2800 & battery since it was from 2017.

Hopefully I can get a lot of life out of this car. I was strongly considering a 4yr/48k exclusionary warranty for $5k but I unsure now reading your 150k mi update.

Do you all have like a printed maintenance schedule that you use to reference when to do preventative maintenance ie coils, spark plugs etc? I know I will be doing oil changes every 5k miles.
