150,000 mile update

I'm very impressed. Nothing to report. Everything works, no cabin leaks, no interior or exterior rattles or creaks, no spots in the driveway. Hasn't needed any repairs in the last 70,000 miles.

Complete history of unscheduled service:

- Turbo coolant lines. $50 DIY repair.

- Fuel sending unit. Replaced by BMW service center.

The rest is regular maintenance. Oil changes, filters, etc. The rest of the parts are all original. Even the serpentine belt isn't showing any signs of fatigue or wear.

The last oil lab sample came back terrific. Time for another sample.

I think I'm just going to hold on to it for now. It's a terrible market to buy anything anyway. Prices are ridiculous and there's little inventory.

If anything I'll get a second car. I'm a bit tempted by the Model S Plaid.

Congrats to exceeding the 150k miles mark, especially without major issues 🍀 I'm at 100k miles and still very pleased, knockonwood 🙏 please keep her, so we can hear about 200k miles 🤩

Meanwhile I still haven't gotten over that fear in the back of my mind of something going wrong on my M6 even though it only has 40k miles and has a full dealer svc history and owned by older folks prior to me

What company did you get? I went with like the only guy that would warranty my 13 M6 with 42k mi and it was Patriot warranty. Used it once for an ignition coil and they only paid half of the dealer labor rate. Decided to cancel them... only the sales dept answers, and if you ask for a pro-rated cancellation they hang up. Told my CC company they're doing some shady shit (wasn't looking for a full refund) but they sent me a full refund anyways

Never changed. Original clutch too.

I really thought the clutch would eventually fail which would mean fluid too. But that never happened.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I just happened to look down last night and saw I popped my 150K mile cherry too. Lol.

Daily driven from 13,000 miles. Oil changes religiously every 5-7k miles. Here's the long list of issues I've had so far.

Turbo coolant lines - 3x
Batteries replaced - 1x
Power Loss under WOT - loose DME's
Brake Pads - 2x
Rotors - 1x

That's all knock on wood. The car has been extremely reliable especially considering the performance modifications. I've never used launch control and will never floor the pedal from a dig. I believe that has helped preserve some engine parts as well.

Let's see who gets to 200k first.

Ok 150,000 miles is impressive, but 20.4 mpg!?! That's gotta be a record.

It's good to know that when maintained well these cars can be pretty reliable.

Love it, you guys are putting serious miles on! Who's your tuner again? And what oil brand and weight do you use? Thanks
