I have installed Beltronics STI-R radar detector and Al Priority jammers! You cannot get better protection than this period!
I know installation takes time and system itself not cheap but it worth every penny! i like clean look i hate wires hanging around or stuff sticking out of my windshield. |

I have the 360. Hands down the best detector ive owned. I drive with that and the waze app running and to me thats the perfect combo! I do a lot of rallies, mexico runs and generally aggresive driving so its a must for me

Most smart people will either have both or none because if you have radar only you think you're good until you get caught by a cop with a laser gun.

Bringing old thread to life
Time to move to a newer detector. I was abig fan of v1 until false positives pushed me to Escort 9500. Now Escort is becoming noisy as well and I'm looking for the balance between performance and comport. No lasers traps in WA state so jammers are not needed. Looking at the forums it seems that v1/yav1 and max360 are the top choices but it looks like uniden r3 is getting strong recognition as well. Anyone has a hands on with the latter or managed to compare the three in practice? |

Can't speak to V1's or Uniden but can confirm that Escort just released new firmware this week to address some of the BSM Falses with the 360. I've had it a couple of days and it has been much quieter. Solid radar is now much better IMO.
Good Luck!

I really like my Uniden DFR3. It has the capability to GPS block false signals (not easy peasy like the auto function of the 360, but doable).
I'm in the Houston area and I have not seen or heard any K band in a long time so I just disable X and K all together which relieves any need for blocking out false K signals - whether from the grocery store or the Audi driving nearby. Thumbs up for the DFR3 - and the ~$300 pricetag.

V1 has best detection. 360 right behind it. 360 more features which mostly are compensated for with V1 app. Personally, I run V1, Laser-interceptor hammers, and Waze app. False signals don't bother me as I drive mostly in areas with no false and I know where the few of them are. Also, it's pretty easy to figure out if something is false or not anyway if you're not a panicker. Going to do alp jammers on M5 once its here and maybe a mirror integrated V1.

The 360 w/ the latest firmware is exceptional; virtually no BSM falses. Paired w/ Waze is great.

now i understand you have a v1, and you may be biased towards it.. but when you say it has the best detection, are we talking radar, or laser? the last 3 times i've gotten hit, have been with radar. I need something that can pick these douchebags up ahead of time. I also travel the same route frequently (city driving) so this should help me narrow down the type of detector to get. |

can the Waze app be somehow integrated into the detectors? Or is it simply a stand alone process whereby you guys have the app running on the fone side by side with the detector?

gotcha, wasn't trying to come off malicious by saying you were biased. I didn't mean it that way. I've been reading on the radar forums, it seems v1 is best for me. I still need to understand the lidar/radar/instant on crap however. |
