Just saying.
Of course, for those victims who are respected members in this forum and of course for friends of mine!

It is voluntary, you do not have to do it if you do not want to.

Sounds like a good idea - and Dave deserves it
If it is accepted count me in - regardless if it's going to be done for me or not because I am not contributing as much to this community as RpiM5 and he is one of the pillars of this forum no doubt and I do enjoy reading all his threads even when he criticized me -!

But how about cheer you up gift cards of all sorts and places - ... because I am sure he doesn't need the money and insurance will kick in but a cheer you up gift card is probably a better idea to draw a smile on his face because of US - and more likely to be accepted by him -

PM me please RpiM5 to get your gift card pleeeeeease -
Starbucks for 2 weeks on me -

And obviously up to him whom to PM to accept people's gifts as per his comfort level..

I am in !
$tarbucks coming your way Dave
And we shouldn't say how much as it is not a race !

I read :
"Misdemeanor Vandalism Acts of vandalism that have caused damage of $400 dollars or less are usually classified as a misdemeanor. Misdemeanor charges often require no jail time, however, you may be sentenced to up to one year in jail. Other consequences include hefty fines of up to $1000, community service of up to 100 hours, informal probation, and restitution for damages to the victim's property.

Felony Vandalism Vandalism charges may be classified as a felony when the damage done to the victim's property is estimated at $400 dollars or more. Felony charges will include jail time, extensive fines, extensive community service hours, restitution for damages to the victim's property, and formal probation. In some cases, your driver's license may be suspended."

I went through something similar a while ago. my entire car was keyed and tires slashed. I still don't know the reason why my car was targeted.

Just got back from a great ride. I needed to go clear my head and get away for a bit.

You guys are all great. I appreciate everyone's friendship and understanding of the situation. It's not the end of the world though. Yeah I feel violated and disgusted with what some people can do, but as we've seen in this thread I'm not the first and I won't be the last. I can say that if the people who did this to my car knew what I went through to get it and everything that I've been through with it then they might have changed their mind.

I am reminded of that video that that guy Nick Murray made of when he was having those terrible troubles with his Porsche 991 911. He once said, that "I might be an a$$hole with a nice car but I'm not a rich a$$hole with a nice car." Like him, some people work very hard for what they have and it just makes me wonder what goes through people's heads when they destroy another persons property.

I'll be back up within a few weeks (I hope) up and running. Til' then, please keep me entertained with your posts.

Dave - so sorry that you and Mika were subjected to this absurdity. Hope everything works out with your insurance and I'm sure a good dose of karma is headed towards the bastards responsible for this.

Cheers!

Im sorry to hear the bad news brother. I feel your pain on this one as I had my modified s2k stripped from head to toe (wheels, seats, engine parts, radio, etc.) at my condo garage about 8 years ago. Worst part it was some stalker at the forums that lived nearby. Thats why Im weary about posting too many things on the forums. Hit me up if you want to chill.
