So apparently my Service technician at BMW Dallas says squealing brakes are normal

Brought my 2014 M5 CP in for it's squealing brakes again 1 month after driving off with the last visit for the same thing. They resurfaced the brake pads and rotors and applied anti-squeal. Noticed brake squeal the same day after leaving the dealership the first time bringing it in for the issue. Brought it in yesterday for the same problem and they refused to try to even fix it. My SA said it is just a problem with new M5/6s and there is nothing that can be done. I am at a wits in with the squealing brakes. I have owned multiple high performance cars and have never had even the slightest squeal. Help me Obi-M5 kinobi. Is there no hope? No lemon law? Do I have to live with my $120,000 car driving around the neighborhood sounding like a hooptie? I have had squeal since the first week of owning the car and now 7,000 miles.

Mine squeal as well and my understanding is exactly in line with your service tech.

Common for high perf brake systems.

I hate to say it, but a little squeeling with this type of brake is not unusual. I get it intermittently...

This has been discussed several times. most of us have this issue and are living with that. They changed my rotors and pads and installed the factory suggested special pads with low noise, but it was good for couple weeks and then came back like a champ

My LCI M5 had NO squeal, and my new M6 GC CP has NO squeal.

I jet wash the disks and pads each week.
It is NOT normal at all.

My brakes have always squealed like this, it comes and goes. My wife says she hates driving the car when it does this. Wants to know why such an expensive car sounds like a pile of junk. It's one of the idiosyncracies I have just lived with because I liked the car so much.

The brakes on the Cayenne Turbo S do this too a bit. My PCCBs don't do it on the 991 TTS and they don't have brake dust either. I am not sure if that is a solution but if so, it's an expensive one because CCBs are a 9k option on the BMW I think.

I snow-foam my cars, so I do the disks and Callipers at the same time, then jet wash off, it works try it.

Well the squeaking doesn't bother me but failing fuel pumps in the middle of a busy road does. No more BMW for me. If we continue to have issues on the Cayenne I might give it a try but my wife drives that one. I have PCCB on the 991 tts so no noise there.

My service advisor said the ceramic brakes squeal more than the regular M5 brakes. My E63 never had any squealing issue. Can't believe BMW can't find a way to fix it.

Mine has gone through periods of it but not every time. It's mostly when the car is already going slow and the brakes aren't being applied heavily and then only some days. If I brake to stop from say 40 or so they don't do it. It's when I am going 10 or 15 that I have the issue.

mine did for the first 500 miles or so until I performed the bedding in process that one guys posted on here. a series of higher speeds and gradually heavier braking. to the extend the abs cuts in and you stop abruptly. mine have not squealed since.

hammer the shit out the brakes, punish them and get them hot... but not warped!

I do quarters and slowing down from 140 to a stop does help but it has never fixed the problem.

Unfortunately it is normal. Pick any car manufacturer, search their forums, and you will see threads on brake squeal. Even Lexus cars with ceramic pads have brake squeal.

Here is a solution which many here believe in.

Mine only seem to squeal if I let too much brake dust accumulate! Nothing a quick rinse doesn't cure.
