Turner Uprated - Wavey Brake Rotors

I saw those yesterday too! I got an email from them.

They look very very promising. I will get them when my front rotors wear out. I like how ECS giving you brake pad options right up front when ordering these new rotors. I am running the Cool Carbon pads on my OEM rotors right now and they are superb, but they are still terrible for the track. I am wondering if I will get Pagid Race Pads for my next set, but I do wonder about the dust and squeal. The Cool Carbons have been amazing for a significant reduction in dust and absolutely no squeal.

Planning to do the same when my front rotor runs out. I guess they can't be worse than oem. We will also benefit from the two piece design being lighter than oem. I got sourced to a pair of Dixcel Brake pad. It's their Z range, which suppose to offer light tracking ability, great initial bite and less brake dust. I was told its comparable to endless, gonna give them a try

Lightweight, precision machined 6061-T6 aluminum hat hard anodized with an attractive matte black finish that is both durable and corrosion resistant.

It also reduces the effects of pad knock back, which is the tendency of the rotor to push the pistons back into the calipers due to wheel bearing deflection under extreme loading, resulting in a soft pedal and inconsistent braking. Reducing or eliminating knock back by allowing the rotor to float and self-center results in a more consistent pedal feel and braking

The full float design allows independent radial and lateral thermal expansion and movement. Both of these features reduce thermal stresses on the rotor due to uneven thermal loading under hard braking.

The radial expansion allows the ring to increase in diameter without being restrained by the hat, reducing the tendency to “cone” or distort toward the outer braking surface, improving pedal feel and pad wear characteristics

The full float design conducts less heat into the bearings due to reduced contact area between the rotor and the hat.

Waste of money if you ask me. Supposed to save around 4-5lbs rotational weight per rotor. I had them on my RS5 and that car chewed through them every 20k miles. I realized apples and oranges

Unneeded new front rotors my old ones were cracking with hairline cracks so I looked up any other designs and turned had these so I picked them up for 1200 I think it was and I love them they work really good. Gives it this crazy aggressive look. Cool carbon brakes are phenomenal. Hardly any dust NO SQUEAKS OMG so embarrassing when riding with a female and all you hear is squeaking. But they're amazing I recommend. I don't used them for tracks just daily driving.

I'm just thinking better braking means better friction and usually faster wear, and would like to factor that in on the cost-perspective before making a decision...
