What I actually meant is the M6 Gran Coupe that has already been announced and is planned to go production this summer!

The M6 GC looks like the 6 Grand coupes which is one of the best looking 4 door cars made today. The 6-series is also much rarer and more unique. And I believe the M6 does have flared fenders. |

I'm standing here right now looking at an AW 6er GC at a BMW dealer. It just looks odd to me. The proportions are soooooooo long/wrong. I want to love it, but think I'm out.

As always it is a matter of preference...but IMO - the M5 looks are aggressive and proportional while elegant; the M6GC looks like a stretched out M6 Coupe not a design alone car, more like two cars put together. Both interiors are first class.

I agree with your assessment of the exterior looks comparison between the M5 and M6GC, but after sitting in the M6 coupe prior to buying the M5, BMW's mounting of the navigation screen in the 6 series just doesn't blend in with the dash contours. Seems like an after thought and ruins the look for me. I'm surprised they continued with that styling in the M6GC.

For me the 6 GC is much nicer, more X factor but much more $$. Depends what you want in a car. By the time the M6GC comes out , lease will be several hundred dollars more than M5 Whatever you do, get the bang and olaufson stereo. I didnt get it in my M6 and regret it daily |

As a coupe, I think the M6 is drop dead gorgeous. If you are looking for a 4-door, I just don't see that the GC is worth $30k more than the M5. I do think the M6 GC is slightly better looking than the M5, but not $30k better.

Thanks for the feedback everyone...
I have decided to go for the M5... Better value for money, more space/room specially for the rear passengers (more family friendly), I can have rear seats entertainment system for the kids... Because of all the above, I can use it in daily manner without the need to have another car AND I can order it today. With that mentioned, I still respect the exterior and interior design of the M6 CG... specially the distinctive color combinations you can have if you go individual... Now, I should finalize my M5 order at the dealer soon. The tough part now is the waiting I believe !! |

M6 looks prettier, more feminine, maybe I can try to convince the wife. The M5 is more robust and masculine. The extra dough is money totally wasted IMO.

Hi all,
I rode both. It's true the M6 GC looks nicer but the problem is that it's too small from the inside. Plus, the roof is so low. I have ordered an M5 '14 and waiting for it to arrive. Turk |

echo the seats and head room concerns with the GC.

M5 over M6GC for me as well.
To me, price aside, M5 is more practical, roomier and less stand out than the M6. The sitting position is more comfortable than the M6 for people over 6ft, as M6 sits lower. Rear seats are also more comfortable, more headroom and less firm than the M6. They fold down as well. M6GC definitely looks better than the M5 and more exclusive. Styling wise M6GC wins. I personally also don't like the flipping logo trunk lit opener on the M6, feels flimsy, but that's just my opinion |
