Strange noise coming from under the hood

Hello everyone, I have a buddy with a beautiful f10 M5 and he's having some issues. When ever the wheel in turned in one direction it makes a very weird ticking sound. I told him it has to be an issue with the steering rack, but he doesn't think so. It is only coming from the right side of the car.

Any help is appreciated!

Well known problem. The ticking is coming from your wheel bearings. There is a service bulletin about this and your service advisor should have access to it. They are either going to re-grease and re-pack your bearings, or replace them.
