Just got word that I'm on it too, though, this time not for a BMW or an M car, heh.
For some odd reason, putting the VIN in the cargo ID section isn't working this time. Anyone else getting it to work? |

I think it is "out of range" whatever that means. What did you get? Audi? Porsche?

What I'm getting is a bit of a surprise, heh. At least, I'm trying not to get too excited until it gets here because I still have a month to wait (and I've been waiting for 3 already). The more I talk about it, the more impatient I get. I'll definitely post pics, though, if I can find a good home for them here since it's not a BMW. |

550i GT on Triton Leader
NYK's line is a little difficult to track, unlike other shipping lines. The best you can do is track the TL through marinetraffic.com (but only in covered areas) - last I saw TL it left the proximity of the Azores, and will next show up when entering the area of Panama. I believe that the cargo schedule indicates arrival in Manzanillo Mexico on 10-27 and then Port Hueneme (Oxnard, CA) around 11-06 - we can only hope....

Triton Leader - status
Ships still not showing on the tracking, but hopefully she's getting close to the Caribbean Sea! Picked up a schedule from Port Hueneme and noted they now have Triton Leader's arrival pegged for 11-6-2012, woohoo!

Hmm, that's interesting. Thank you for these details. I guess the Triton Leader will be stopping off in Long Beach beforehand? *shrug*
That's where my car gets dropped off, except I'm told 11/7 (date from the factory, not from the harbor itself). Perhaps I'll be seeing my car sooner than expected! |

Triton Leader - voyage 20 update
Good morning, I was concerned on that count too so I connected with my CA and he advised me that the TL not only avoided the storm, but according to his records (Crevier BMW) the cars are slated to arrive a day early - November 5th!
I certainly hope he's right - looking forward to playing with my new toy! |

Just got notification from marinetraffic.com that the TL cruised through Panama Canal earlier today, She's hit the pacific with beautiful our newly minted beemers.

Triton Leader through the Panama Locks -
I picked up a couple threads when first starting to track the TL, here's one where a member actually provided screenshots of the TL passing through the locks. Maybe overkill, but hey, when I was little I'd get up at 4am on Christmas day.

Triton Leader - Position 11-5-2012
Looks like the ship captain is contemplating a stop for margaritas as he circles off the coast of Mexico.
Good news is delivery is noted to Port Hueneme for 11-6-2012 (my CA was a bit overzealous in his estimate for a delivery of 11-5-2012 / sorry guys for the bad info). I also made a quick inquiry as to what kind of delays we can expect at port; the CA suggested that new deliveries would receive priority as the invoicing for the vehicles can not occur until the vehicle is loaded onto the secondary transport (truck in my case) so there is huge incentive to get the new BMW's off the ship and enroute. Hope this is the case. |

Oddly, my date is for it to land at the Port of Long Beach. Curious to see how it all works out... Perhaps they'll drop off some cars in Long Beach then swing up to Port Hueneme? Then again, perhaps I'm being incorrectly told Long Beach. Either way, looks like we're both getting impatient. |
