Evunturi air Intakes F10 M5

Currently on stock Intakes and have purchased set of Evunturi Intakes but not fitted ..but been advised that car will need to be driven Hard for some time so ECUs can adapt and until then most likely will get yellow check light..

Is there any truth to the above..

Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated

It's called adaptation and in our cars, it's true that the ECUs adapt to changes. With the intakes, you'll have more airflow therefore the ECU will adapt as you drive and make the necessary changes to support the change.

Driving hard isn't really the goal, it's driving he car through he gears and RPMs so the car can adapt quicker / better.

Also apologies if it's been discussed previously been advised such filters will mess up maf Sensor due to oil ..is there any truth or purely scare tactics from a competitor..

Once again appreciate the advice

Shouldn't get a CEL but it isn't unheard from happening. Rare I think.

As for oil filters, if there is excess oil on filters it will contaminate the MAF. Nothing s $2 of mag cleaner can't fix.
