As I discussed in a few other posts (thank you all for your input) my decision of what to get after my lease end was another F10M5!! I couldn't find anything i was excited about trading for that met all of my needs so ended up with a 2016 Singapore Gray CP with a few options I regretted not getting first time around.
Specs are Singapore Gray Black Full Merino Competition Package Drivers Assistance Executive package Bang & Olufsen Mperformance exhaust w/ CF Tips MPerformance Black Kidney Grills Mods Planned Tint Clear Bra (road rash on my AW drove me crazy) Clear or painted reflectors (had clear on AW but may do painted) Side vents & handle inserts either paint match or black wrap CF diffusor CF lip or splitters Aluminum Pedals (prob Dinan or Performance) 10mm Spacers Tune prob BMS stage 1 or Dinan stage 2 On the fence about drop ins & charcoal delete or an Intake BMS, MSR or RK May either go with aftermarket wheels or Black powdercoat the 601's Love it the exhaust B&O and full leather are such an upgrade and with the color I realize its a different car! Im sure its placebo effect but feels stronger and tighter than my 14 and the few software updates are nice Will upload some pics ASAP |

Thank you all. I'm going to hard wire the detector this weekend and have a appointment scheduled for tint and vinyl wrap the side vents and handle chrome next week at the place recommended by fellow users in Nashville (thank you!). I'm on the fence about Xpel since it's a lease . Was quoted $1400 for full hood, bumper fenders and rocker panels.

OP - do you like the upgraded exhaust? I have the same set up too and there are times when I think it is too loud - specially starting it up early mornings on weekends where I feel like it wakes my neighbors up
I got the black grilles and immediately swapped out the side air vents with matte black. I have a black car. Beautiful car by the way. |

I've seen numerous threads debating when the exhaust valves are open and closed and what the purposes was. I never tried wiring them open on my last car so decided to give it a try on the M Performance exhaust and it definitely makes a nice difference on cold starts as well as low and mid RPM range. That along with removing the charcoal filters made driving around doing errands today nice!

1. How do I start the car with valves open? Just put the transmission in Sport Plus and valves open themselves? 2. How to remove carbon filters? How is the sounds difference? |

As for the charcoal filter I removed the entire air box (one bolt and a hose clamp) which makes it much easier to get to all of the bolts that hold the air filter in. Once you separate the air box you will see another filter in the top air on that you remove. I also think there is another DIY thread showing this. I am still deciding if I'm going to spend all the $$$ for a woosh sound and a little HP gain on an aftermarket intake or just do hi flow drop ins and keep the OEM intakes in place. I'm still watching the intake wars threads lol Definitely loving the added sound not sure my neighbors are lol |

Going to attempt to vinyl wrap the door handle chrome today. I ordered some 3M gloss black vinyl from Amazon for $15. Never attempted vinyl myself but it looks pretty easy from some other DIY threads I saw. If it doesnt workout I will let the shop do it when I get the Window tint done Tuesday. May also do the side vents just for the hell of it but ordered some Singapore painted ones from IND that will be here next week

Wow that was super easy took me maybe 30 minutes total to do all 4. It was a little unnerving having a blade that close to the paint but just creased the vinyl around the insert with my nail first then followed the crease with the blade decided not to do the side vents as the painted ones will be here Monday and the wife was getting anxious to go enjoy the beautiful weather.
