BMS 12mm Spacers Installed!

....a few before and after pics of my BMS 12mm spacer install!

All I can say is the difference,...to me,...is 'visually stunning'!!

...I should have done this on day 2.

Did you do both front and back?
How is the driving dynamic?

It should affect it so I'm wondering how much impact it has on performance.

I put 10mm on the rear and left the front stock. The front and rear line up perfect. I had some 8mm on the front but it looked dumb imho. The rear needs spacers vs stock for sure.

Yes sir, I did front and rear! I was considering 12F/15R,...but decided not to after seeing how happy some were with their BMS 12mm spacer installs.

I would be surprised if BMW didn't offer this as part of some Competition Pkg,....and seriously mark-up the hardware (...the spacers).

As for how they feel,....I only had time to go around the block in my area! Traffic in my area is wall-to-wall nearly all day on Saturdays during beach season.

I know for sure,...at least for me, you have a sense of more 'confidence' as a result of having a 'wider track' all around. Which makes for a sense of the experience being 'priceless'! IMHO.

Suweeeet! But once you go 12mm,...there's no going back.

Tried that and immediately started seeing more rock dusting behind front tires.

I have no issues running 15/15 and it looks great, still under the arches but more room at the front visually

I have run F/R, 10/10, 12/10, 12/12, 13,12, 15/13, 15/15

Regarding feel and balance keeping them equal I believe helps. My two favourite options for feel are 12/12 and 15/15, for looks definitely 15/15

Thanks!
Though I'm wondering what kind of effect there would be near the cornering limits

cool but not cool if your car is lowered as there might be rubbing issues

There should be no rubbing issues on 12/12 setup even if lowered; I had this same setup on both H&R and KW HAS with stock wheels with zero rubbing issues.

my 305 rear tires have zero extra room for spacers with AC Schnitzer lowering springs and 10.5 HRE's...so it depends on each application

Agreed, was referring to stock wheel setup.

I'm on 21x11" rears and 305's and lowered with zero rubbing issues. Are you looking for more aggressive fitment; I would assume HRE fitment is spot on.

Anyways, not a big fan of spacers ... look good but don't feel all that good IMO.

I'm curious. I see everyone has mixed feelings on spacers. How's your ride with them ? Any shaking above 80mph ?

I didn't have any issues, feels stock with a more aggressive look. I had my wheels rebalanced with the spacers, so maybe that's what people are not doing.

I have no vibration or other issues. You must fit properly. ie with clean hub faces, especially on the nose. Nothing clever if you fit wheels with dirty backs, get an uneven fit you will have/may vibration problems, same with spacers. They are perfectly safe and perfectly okay. I fitted spacers on other cars and did many laps around SPA/Nurburg etc with no issues !

I installed 12MM spacers a week or so ago. No vibrations at all under 85MPH. > 90 I get a slight vibration...not sure a fix yet.
