That's awesome. Thank you very much. Are you using the 2014 F10 M5 steering wheel or the 2013+ M6 wheel? I think they are identical?
Yes. They are the same wheel.
Do you know what all is needed? My dealer seems to think all I need is the steering wheel and a airbag.

I should have worded my question better. I don't have vibration or lane assistant. So do I only need a steering wheel module as you called it? Where do you put the module? Is there a space for it already?

Pretty much every part here plus the side buttons and DCT shift levers:

You should look for an assembled wheel.

Thanks, but I threw in the towel. To many unknowns to risk buying all these parts. Thanks anyhow.

I cannot take the airbag off. It looks a lot easier in the video. I think that is the hardest piece for me.

When I did my M3, the air bag was a pain in the ass too! What you think are the release fingers arnt! At least for me they were not. It took me almost 1hr to get one side off. I got lucky on the other side though. Long super skinny screw drivers are what helped me the most.

Edit:

Im not sure these come off the same way as the E92 now that I think about it. So if this makes no sense, my bad.

Guys the list is confusing me, I want to change out my big ass steering wheel for the sportier 2016 model, can I just go buy a steering wheel from a wrecked 16 M5 and plug and play?

Want to change M5 F10 steering wheel to F90 steering wheel

I want to change my steering wheel but will it still have the M buttons and the executive package transfers?

Can I buy a steering wheel from a junk yard and just replace it?

Yes, it is plug and play for M5 and M6. They are not interchangeable with other M models

F10 is not compatible with F90.

Has anyone had success with the company carbontastic. I have F10 M5, and I am looking to upgrade to an after market steering wheel, but I want the steering wheel to be compatible with my car and the executive package. What are is everyone's thoughts and experiences?
