We know the performance rocks and the car looks great. Now the features list and price seem good/in-check.

Wow, they are getting 27 mi/gal and 500+ mi per tank, highway. I have never seen above 21 mi/gal in my E60!

What do they mean by "a material change expected to the M5’s vehicle electronics as of July 2012 production" on page 4 of the Product Guide?

This is great, thank you! I find it interesting there isn't more available individual options. Also, phish has a standard colour interior but an individual trim; the file does not say that is possible and there is no separate price for the individual trim either. Very cool there are so many standard options though. Cheers.

Not necessarily, BMW Canada, like Porsche Canada is probably just adjusting prices to reflect the stronger Canadian Dollar.

It starts at $26,500 more than the 550i x-drive. That's a Fiat 500 Abarth or a sick Harley Davidson...or 30% more...wow. But it's so damn nice...

extended leather is acturally FULL leather, with leather dashboard, leather on the back seat etc.

Full merino leather is acturally the individual leather, just special color but it doesn't cover leather dashboard etc, i prefer extended leather for sure

But the M5 also has a 500 Abarth's worth of horsepower more than the 550i -- exactly 160hp

Now i wonder what the dealer markup is gonna be here in vancouver bc. I was in the dealership the other day and they had an m3 coupe going for $104k. Theres no way the M5 will be under that, not in Vancouver at least.

But if you look at the M3; X6 M; and X5 M on bmw.ca vs bmwusa.com they are almost exactly $10k different. I think that will be the case with the M5 in the US. I would expect now a base of around $91,500, give or take $1k. That seems pretty awesome to me.

Canada is getting the 2012 M5 for a very short run...production is only from March 2012 to June/July 2012. In August, BMW will begin the 2013 production model which will finally begin being sold in the US in September 2012.

The 2013 will have updated electronics, nothing has been confirmed but I'm being told it will most likely have an updated navigation and perhaps some other minor stuff.

This is all coming from someone I know who works at BMW!

I'll save my coins for the 92k price tag. Bam!

So the question is, do you wait for the MY2013 if you are Cdn?

Can you expand on the details or is that all you have Slammed? Was that BMW Corp or BMW Canada?
